Just saying hello.... 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is the semi monochromatic card using dies and stamps....

  • I first of all took a 7x5in white landscape card from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) and used a Kit n Caboodle punch to create a different corner.
  • I then cut out the two frames (from Stamps by Me) twice, the top one in Lynda Chapman's Black card and the bottom one in Bright blue self adhesive sheet (from Dalton Manor) and placed them on top of each other so that the blue foliage parts show through.
  • I then attached it to the front of the card using a solid tape pen but you could use it a wet glue so that you can place it where you want.
  • I had previously cut out the flower spray (Refined Bouquet from Tattered Lace) in Lynda Chapman's Black card and added it to the bottom of the frame again using a tape pen - this time a dotty one so the glue only goes where it needs to.
  • I cut out a stitched edged circle out of white card and stamped the sentiment (from Carnation Crafts Well Wishes stamp set) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured it slightly with some yellow and blue ink from Aladine's Izink range.
  • I used foam pads to add it to the centre of the card.
  • Finally I added 5 drops of Black Nuvo drops to the top left hand corner.

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
