My heart is yours forever... 6in square Valentine's Day card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another one that is suitable to be given for Valentine's Day or just to say you love someone - any time of the year of course! How I made this card:- I have designed the topper in Craft Artist Professional 2 - using a variety of digikits - the main element was part of a kit from Printable Heaven. Once I was happy with the design, I saved it as a JPG and printed it out in Microsoft Publisher. I then cut it out and edged it with a "Red" alcohol marker. I used the "Torn Edged Rectangle" die to make the panel that I used to layer the topper on top of (out of "Rainbow" Mirri card) - before I stuck it down, I attached some "Red" Organza ribbon to the middle of it (sticking it down on the back so it didn't show). I then glued the whole panel on to the centre of a 6" white straight edged card using Collall All Purpose glue. ...

Cartoon mouse (Cinderella style) on 6" square card -  Day 216 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is using a hand coloured digistamp of a Cinderella style mouse that I hand coloured using a mix of alcohol markers and pencils. I first of all took the Cinderella style mouse digistamp from the "Fairy Tales" CD rom (I think) and took it into Serif;s Craft Artist Professional 2 and resized it to about 3" high and printed it off onto good quality digital stamping card/paper. I then coloured it in using a variety of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers - mainly grey, pink , darker pink and blue , trying to blend them in to give him a "life like" feel. I also added some of their matching colours in their pencils ( not their Aquablendable pencils) to add a bit more depth. Flower and bubble background - 3 colours 7" square card -  Day 188 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used toppers and backgrounds mainly cut using my Brother Scan n Cut (and CANVAS online)  (am finding I am using it more and more now for all sorts of projects). I first of all cut out a "bubbles" panel in black cardstock from one of the files that I bought from the Digital Crafting Emporium (ten large fretwork panels for just £2.50 ) - John Bloodworth (AKA the Gentleman Crafter) has lots of SVG/FCM files which you can buy to use with the Brother Scan n Cut. This was originally a square panel but I cut it down so it was just a border and glued it to the left hand side of the card. I then used some of the pre-installed templates to cut out one scalloped edged square * in black cardstock (American Crafts) which measures approximately 12cm and other in white cardstock (again American Crafts) measuring 1...

1920's lady hand coloured Kraft party bag - Day 119 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Day 119 of my challenge and for today have made something slightly different - this time I have decorated a Kraft bag to make a Party bag ... I first of all printed off the image of the Art Deco 1920's lady (I had decided on tall I would like it to be before doing so using Serif's Craft Artist Professional 2 ). I then coloured her in using Spectrum Noir pens - there is still so much to learn about colouring! I used CR4 , CR5 along with brown for her hair and a lilac one for the hemline and shoes.  Once it was dry, I placed it on to some bright pink mirror card leaving a small border around it.  I then glued it to one side of the Kraft bag (which measures 27x17cm approximately) in the middle of the handles. I added a flower (a pre made small pink one from Hobby House ) using my hot glue gun to a die-cut flower shape in black card and attached it to the top ...

Chick in a basket of flowers - Easter card -  Day 64 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Well Easter is getting closer, so I have made this card using a digital image from Craft Creations (I downloaded it some time ago). I first of all added the image to a blue textured background and framed it with a blue edging.. I then used one of the scalloped embossed panels you can get from Craftwork Cards and glued the topper on to it (I took the centre panel out first so I can use that at a later date). I then glued it to the Kraft card using Collall All purpose glue as it allowed me to place it in the right place. I then added 4 small Aurora Borealis pearl drops to each of the 4 corners and added the sentiment "Wishing you a Happy Easter" (from Hunkydory) on some foam pads to give it some dimension, For the insert, I used a Hunkydory insert cut down to fit the inside back cover - I thought it went really well with the front cover. How digital crafting can be used - Day 25 of my 366 day challenge.. Hi Craft Addicts! So it is nearly coming up to the end of January - where has that time gone? Anyway, for this post, I thought I would show you how great digital crafting can be. For these three cards, I have used 2 different designs but all using the CRAFTSCAPES digikits that Daisytrail (Craft Artist Professional 2) have produced. You do need to have the software package CAP2, but for what it can do, the price is incredibly reasonable. You can buy all items through Daisy Trail here - there are literally hundreds of kits that you can mix and match to create brilliant projects. As it is a digital image you can layer things up that using shadows etc that actually look as if they are in 3D. They are also brilliant for mixed media projects and you can add as many (or few) embellishments you like. These are also watercolour images so it really creates that effect on your card..       ...

Five, Four, Three, Two, One - we have lift off! 3 small cards with a space theme. Hi Craft Addicts! I had just been playing with the Starlights metallic paints from Imagination Crafts (you can find the full range here )  and felt that the colours I had used - White Gold, Antique Gold and a touch of Green looked like a sand scene and then had the idea that it also looked like a planet's surface - (you can find many Tutorials as to how to used these paints on You Tube). I remembered that I had some of the toppers (and backing papers) from the Midnight Collections series from Hunkydory which I thought would look good and here are 3 card I made using them. The first one I tried (the bottom one) I painted a separate piece of card with the Starlights Paints using some Cut n Dry foam and tore it so it looked more uneven and glued it to the 4" white card - I then hand painted a sky scene using the Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers on to some more card and ag...
