Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card is again using the Geometric set from Thirsty Brush, this time using the diamond one. I first of all cut out the diamond shape using the Thirsty Brush die. I had added some self adhesive paper (from Wild Spider) to Lynda Chapman's Black card beforehand which made placing it on the Pink (I know it doesn't look like it in the photo) Mirror card.  Using the self adhesive paper means there are no glue streaks etc which is great! I then cut out 2 circles using Tattered Lace Scalloped Edged dies in 2 shades of card (from Crafter's Companion Textured collection) and stuck them to each other using PVA glue. I then used Dawn Bibby's square die to cut out the main mat using a lighter cardstock and then coloured it slightly with some blue Tim Holtz Distress inks. The stamps are part of the Thirsty Brush collection, and I stamped the It's Your Birthday sentiment around the die cut using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink. Using PVA glue, ...

Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is not a card - I had bought this notebooks ages ago and thought I should actually do something with it! I took two pieces of the Stamps By Me It's All About You Vibrant Tones 8" square paper pad and placed one of them on the front and covered it and part of the back with it and glued it in place using PVA glue. I then cut a smaller piece to cover the join and the rest of the back and glued that in place again with PVA Glue. I really love this Geometric cat die and stamp from Thirsty Brush and so cut it out in black card (Lynda Chapman's of course), and as before, I added some Wild Spider self adhesive sheet on the reverse and cut it out. I placed it on some white card and trimmed around it leaving a narrow white border and then edged it with a Black alcohol marker. I stuck it to the top of the notebook with Pinflair's Bookbinding Glue and used some white and black Nuvo Drops to add an eye to the cat. Finally, I cut out the postcar...

Hi again.. Well, another card for my 365 day challenge and I had great fun making this Belated Birthday Unicorn themed one.  I first of all stamped out the Geometric Unicorn image on to white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then cut it out using the co-ordinating die. I had previously coloured some watercolour card using a mix of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and Spectrum Noir Harmony inks to create an ombre effect and attached the die cut on to it and cut around it. I then cut out a piece of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock (from Creative Crafting World) to fit the front of an A6 white card (leaving a narrow border around it) and stuck the unicorn to it using Pinflair Bookbinding Glue (but any will do or you could use a tape pen or even fingerlift tape). I used the latter to place the topper on to the front of the card as I left some of the tape covered whilst placing it so I could get it right.   Well hello! It is such an age since I last did a blog but thought as we are in the New Year I better start doing one again! This first card for 2021 is one that I was really pleased with how it turned out... so here's how I did it. 1) I used the Geometric Owl die from Thirsty Brush and cut it out - using some black Lynda Chapman's cardstock which I had previously attached to some Wild Spider self adhesive paper. 2) I then stuck it to some Kraft card and cut around it. I also used a Pigma Micron pen and added some "Zentangle" to some of the spaces. 3) Using a Tattered Lace circle die (with a scalloped edge), I cut a circle and then embossed it with Lisa Horton's Circles 3D folder. 4) I coloured the circle using Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and glued the owl on top of it. 5) I also cut out a square of Brown paper or card (from Crafter's Companion 12" pad) and rounded the corners using a Prism corner punch and stuck it to the front of a 6...
