Abstract modern patterns - DL white card -  Day 352 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge has a general theme with no snowman, Father Christmas in sight!  I have used peel off stickers, Mica paints and a general sentiment to make this card. How I made this card:- I first of all took two matching "Abstract" peel off sticker panels and placed them on some super smooth card. Using Mica paints, I coloured both of them in trying to match the colours in each of them. I left them to dry and added them to a pre-cut deckle edged "Black" panel using CS glue. I then cut out a border strip in "black" card using my Brother ScanNCut and placed it in the centre of a DL card using CS glue again. I used some fingerlift tape to attach the 2 panels to the front of the card and then added some colour to the "Just a Little Something for you" sentiment and placed it in the middle of the card using foam pads. Just a note - abstract flower C6 white card -  day 261 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's card, I have used a "flower" made from Creative Expressions dies (both open and closed) in three colours on a C6 white card... To make the embellishment and card:- I took the "Delicate Daisies" Open and Closed dies from Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) and cut them out in " Black", " Blue ", "Orange" and "White " cardstock I then built up the flower alternating the colours and off set them so they looked "flower" like. I used a "Picot" edged oval die from Tattered Lace and cut out one of the largest sizes in black card. I glued this on to the front of the card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue towards the top. I added the flower to the middle of the black oval using the same glue and then added some "Ripened Pumpkin" Nuvo crystal drops to some of the p...

` 12 Quick and Easy cards to make  Hi Craft Addicts! These cards would be great to make with kids or for them to give to teachers etc, as they are made from fabric and foam flowers which are cheap to buy and so would be really great for you to make with children! Set 1 To start with, you can find value packs of the flowers at Baker Ross - the link is here   - they are really fun and you can make loads of different flowers and shapes with these.. Anyway - here are the cards I have made using them - as you can see they are all 3in square cards - either in white or cream which you can get from Papermania - The Glitter Pot stocks both colours  here  Set 2 To start with I decided what colours would go and made the " flower heads "  either by adding smaller flower shapes to the larger more abstract shapes. I then used some pre-cut 67x67mm deckle edged black cardstock which you can get from Craft Creations and you can buy them here   ...

MDF shapes - what do with them and how easy are they to decorate/use? Hi Craft Addicts! I have been wondering how easy it is to decorate MDF so thought I would have a go - the next couple of blog posts will be "charting my progress" from the first one I made to my latest one.  Home decor is now such a popular craft and so many Companies are producing blank MDF templates of all shapes and thicknesses and if they have been laser or cut by hand that it is difficult to know which ones to use or even if it makes a difference! So, now I have some to use from the small family companies  Dreamees,   Stamps Away and Imagination Crafts ) it is time to choose what to do with them - you will have to bear with me as this is definitely a "work in progress" and you will see how I improve (or not) over the next few attempts at making some decent products! As you can see from these first ones - I do have a long way to go....though I do like the black...
