Sea Scene with galleon, lighthouse and treasure A4 canvas - handpainted mixed media Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for Watercolour Wednesday is a canvas I have created using watercolour paints, dies, stamps and alcohol markers...it definitely needs improving as it is my first attempt at a larger composition.. How I made this project:- The first thing I did was to lightly draw in pencil where i wanted the various places to go on a prepared A4 canvas, such as the sand dunes, sea and skyline. I then started on the sky, using various shades of blue Watercolour paints - this time I used Kuretake's Gansai Tambi but any will do... I also added some white, grey and darker blue to give the impression of clouds in the sky. I then used darker blue shades to create the sea, adding a bit of green and white once dry. Enjoy the Journey...hot air balloons and hand painted background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I have made for "Watercolour Wednesday" - this time using stamps and a background created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons... How I made this card:- I first of all used the back of an old A6 Deckle edged cream card as a background panel - as it has a linen effect, I thought it would create an interesting texture. I then used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (such as Reds,Yellows, Greens, Blue, Purples - ie Rainbow colours) to try and give the impression of a landscape at sunrise/sunset.  I blended each colour at a time using my finger until I was happy with them and then used a paintbrush to blend them further. I stuck the whole panel on to the front of an A6 White card using a PVA glue. I really like the Scenescape Icons stamp set from Pretty Quick so stamped the Hot Air Balloon out 3 times onto some white card using Gina K Amalgam ink. I...

Special Wishes  - Sea landscape hand coloured shaped card -  Day 233 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a hand coloured shaped card using Distress inks and Hunkydory stamps. It has been made for day 233 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I thought that this shaped card would be perfect to use for this Special Wishes design so I cut a piece of white stamping card and coloured the sea scene using Distress Inks for the sea and sky trying to make the definition clear between sea and sky.  I also left a bit of the top half showing the white card so it looked like clouds and I also coloured the sea and parts of the sky in a darker grey colour to look like darker clouds and waves. I then used 2 pieces of waste paper to cover parts of the design and coloured through them to create the horizon and the land parts, moving the paper down so I could create the lower landscape. For You - sea scene landscape hand coloured 7x5in card -  Day 151 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am really enjoying trying to create landscapes using distress/dye based inks and was pleased with the way this turned out - though it is a bit annoying to find that I have splashed some water on it....anyway... How I made this card:- I first of all took an A6 piece of white stamping card and coloured the sky in leaving parts of it white to give the impression of clouds. I tried to make the top part of it darker than the rest by adding more ink. I then coloured the bottom two thirds of the card with green inks (Altenew and Tim Holtz), graduating the colour to make it darker at the bottom. I then decided where I wanted the sea to be and added some blue/green to a section of the again making it darker towards each side.
