  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's project are two mini cards I created using dies, stamps and Ink Lily Glimmer pens...        For both cards I used A7 cards from Hunkydory and rounded the corners using a Hunkydory punch. I also used Tonic Studios Rectangle tag die to cut out about 8 pieces in white cardstock and stuck them all together. You can use black card such as Lynda Chapman's (from Creative Crafting World)  The backgrounds are also made the same way for both cards using the Summer collection of Ink Lily Glimmer pens - you can't see how great the sparkle is from the photo unfortunately. I then added some trees and birds in silhouette using a Black fineliner pen and added them to the two A7 cards - one landscape and one portrait. With the former one I trimmed the loop so it fitted the card. Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness Christmas is nearly here! This is a fun card I made using stamps, dies and a Peel-Off sticker.... How I made this project:- This is a 7" x 5" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World and I have used it landscape instead of the usual portrait. Tartan makes such a fun background that I used this red, green and black one to make the backing, trimming an 8" piece of paper (from a Hunkydory pad). I attached it to the front of the card using PVA glue and then cut a strip of the reverse side (Green) approximately 1.5" wide and the length of the main panel and then another one from the Tartan slightly narrower and stuck them together with PVA glue again. I then attached that to the main panel making sure that it didn't go over the edge. I cut out 3 circle frames - two in white ...

Merry Christmas Snowmen skating square Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Here is a fun card I made using stamps and dies.... How I made this project:- This is a 6" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World. I have found a love of all things Tartan and so cut a panel of this dark purple Tartan to fit the front of the card leaving a narrow border all around and attached it using PVA glue (such as Pinflair's Bookbinding or Cosmic Shimmer). I then cut out the largest panel Holly frame die from Sweet Dixie in white card (you will need an A4 cutting machine to do this (such as the Cut n Boss or Gemini). I put it in to my 8" Rare Earth Load and Fold, taped it down with some low tack tape and stamped the Skating Snowmen (from Woodware Stamps) onto it using Gina K Black Amalgam ink.  I coloured the Snowmen in (just the edges) with a couple of sha...

Cosy Christmas snowy village in jar 7x5in Kraft Card Hi Craft addicts! Well I am back using Blogger for a while to see if there is any difference in the take up - here is a quick and easy Christmas card I made using Hunkydory and Sweet Dixie products. How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white card and used the largest die within the Holly die set from Sweet Dixie to cut it out. I then took a red alcohol marker to colour in the berries (you can see where they should be in the die cut. I decided to leave the rest of it white and so stuck it to the front of a 7" x 5" Kraft card using some PVA glue - you could of course use a wet glue, tape pen or fingerlift tape. I then used the rectangle Snowy Cottage scene topper from one of Hunkydory's previous Christmas collections and added it to the centre of the card, this time with foam pads. Happy Birthday Butterflies and Dragonfly alcohol ink background DL card Hi Craft addicts! Well, I have been playing with Tim Holtz and Jaquard Pinata Alcohol inks again and have come up with this DL Birthday card... Hope you like it! How I made this card:- I cut a piece of Range Self Adhesive foil tape (or it could have been the Black self adhesive paper from Creativity Int) approximately 4" x 6" and used a variety of bright alcohol inks (a mix of Tim Holtz and Jaquard Pinata) and left it to dry (it does dry very quickly). I then used the Dragonfly and Butterflies die from Sweet Dixie and cut it out, trying to make sure that some of the very bright colours would be dominant. I stuck that to some cream/ivory card (from the Core Collection from Create & Craft I used a corner rounder (from Hunkydory's Prism Range) to round the corners of a White Linen effect DL card. Happy Birthday Dragonfly with leaves alcohol inks A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one using a background created with alcohol inks and a dragonfly die! I sometimes find I use the inks and I think ugh what a mess but once cut with a die turns into something quite decent! How I made this card:- I took a sheet of Tim Holtz's Alcohol Ink Foil tape sheet (which is self adhesive) and added a selection of inks - from both the Ranger and Jaquard ranges. I still haven't tried using the Blending Solution yet but will do soon! As before, I wasn't too sure with the result but thought I would see what it was like die-cut so used the Dragonfly die from Sweet Dixie - it is quite a large one so can only been used with an A5 or larger die-cutting machine. I then removed the backing sheet and placed it towards the top of an A6 white linen effect card, burnishing it to make it stick down properly.  I then used a woodgrain stamp from the Hobby Ar...

Art has no rules... lovebirds (or doves) with alcohol inks A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a bit of a happy accident as I had been working with a variety of alcohol inks and it looked a bit messy but had an idea and this was the result.... How I made this card:- I took a sheet of Tim Holtz's Alcohol Ink Foil tape sheet (which is self adhesive) and added a selection of inks - from both the Ranger and Jaquard ranges.  I wasn't really happy with it as some parts of it it looked a mess but thought that there were parts of it that could be salvaged and so trimmed it down and then used the Doves & Hearts die from Sweet Dixie to cut it out. I then removed the backing sheet and placed it in the middle of an A6 white linen effect card, burnishing it to make it stick down properly. Hip Hip Horray Dragonfly Happy Birthday card using alcohol inks Hi Craft addicts! Well, I have been playing with alcohol inks again to create a background and decided to use it to make this Dragonfly themed Birthday card.... How I made this card:- I used Yupo paper (the translucent version) from Ranger and added a variety of alcohol inks, again from Ranger, to it (just dropping it on and seeing the results). When it was totally dry, I used the Dragonfly Square die from Sweet Dixie and cut it out. I I then stuck it on to a piece of white card using Pinflair Glue-it glue and cut around it leaving a very narrow border. I also used a black alcohol marker to edge it. I decided to use the Creative Expressions Modern Classic sentiments set (designed by Lisa Horton) and stamped the Hip Hip Hooray in each corner (it was only afterwards that I realised I had slipped doing one). Wishing you a bright and happy day Birthday card with butterflies and rainbow background Hi Craft Addicts! I was really pleased with the way the Butterflies panel die from Sweet Dixie worked with a background I created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (definitely one of my favourite sets to use!)... if you want to see how I made it read on! How I made this card:- I created the background by adding various splodges (a technical term I know) of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons one at a time (rainbow colours) blending them as I went as the crayons dry quickly onto some white Hammered card. Once I was fairly happy with it, I then used a paintbrush and water to blend the colours in and left it to dry. Whilst waiting for that, I used the Flutterby By Panel die (from Sweet Dixie) and cut it out in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper.
