Just  Because Chrysanthemums and Tulips Shaped card  Hi Craft addicts! I have had these shaped cards for ages and really had no idea what to do with them until I had this idea - using Thirsty Brush dies/stamps along with Hunkydory's Prism alcohol pens and a Just because sentiment... How I made this card:- I had some ink daubers with some ink left on them so decided to create this pastel background with what was left - I blended them in so they made new colours too! I decided to ink both the front part of the card along with the part of the inside that is showing. I then stamped out the large flower image (from the Chrysanthemum die and stamp set from Thirsty Brush on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Amalgam ink (so I can use both alcohol markers or watercolours) and coloured them in using Hunkydory's Prism Alcohol markers - I decided to make them bright and cheerful as I thought it would make it stand out more.  Once I was happy with the shading ...

Boo! Halloween card with witches hat and sentiment designed in Brother Scan n Cut... Hi Craft addicts! So today's Halloween themed card is one that I have made using some designs I created and cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut... How I made the card... I first of all went into CANVAS (the web app that Brother scan n Cut operates) and designed both the Boo. and Witches Hat toppers - (if you want to know how I did it just get in touch - I am also working out how to create these as files so I can add them to my website! Once I was happy with them, I cut them out in both Black (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) and Orange (from American Crafts) - I had made the hat slightly smaller so I knew that there would be a small border) and glued them both together. I then cut out the black rectangle using the largest of the Tattered Lace pin dot dies and the gold one (I think it is a Spellbinders die) in Mirri card. I stuck them both together and g...

Hubble Bubble ... cauldron, cat and spider's web window card Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would try and write a post every other day with the theme of Halloween. I think I find it more fun to do than Gunpowder Plot (Guy Fawkes) as I really don't like the idea of the burning of his effigy.. anyway I digress which I think I am well used to. Today's card is one that put on Instagram yesterday, and it is an arched C5 window aperture one which I have used to add the topper inside it. How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut deckle edged white hammered piece of card (approx 120x70mm) and first of all added a thin border around it using a Black fineliner pen. I then added the Halloween themed peel off stickers to make a scene. Masking the border off, I then coloured the background in using various shades of blue distress inks (Tim Holtz - Broken China, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers), not worrying too much if I went over the peel offs as I then used ...

Poppies - Always on my mind C5 shaped card..  Day 315 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card has been made with 2 things in mind - one it was the anniversary of my dad's death yesterday (when I made it) and also Remembrance Sunday is coming up at the weekend. How I made this card:- I first of all took the largest of the "Poppies" from the "Poppy Field " collection of stamps from Hunkydory and stamped it on to some smooth cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I also stamped the sentiment " Always on my mind.... heart" just beneath the poppy using the same ink. I then coloured it in "Red" and "Pink" using Zig Clean Color pens. I also used some "RA01 - Red" Generation INX inks to colour in the panel and edged it using some "Dark Red" alcohol markers. I then used the same ink pad and a smaller "poppy" head to stamp the front of the card rotating it to ma...
