Hi Craft addicts!       Well today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun card with Gnomes as its' theme - easy to make and great for sending to a friend at this strange time... I stamped the three gnomes stamp (from Francoise Read's collection by Woodware Stamps) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink along with the sentiment You Gnome me so well which is in the same set. I coloured the Gnomes in with various Spectrum Noir Triblender markers trying to use the same colour in different parts of them to add a continuity. Once I was happy with them, I then used some Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink to colour the sky in and some Simon Hurley green ink for the grass. I then trimmed it to about 5" x 3", rounded the corners with the Prism punch (from Hunkydory) and used a Black alcohol marker (chisel end) to colour the edges. Remind me.... floral DL Birthday card Hi Craft Addicts  It has been far too long since my last post and I really must get used to writing one more regularly - I miss the daily challenge that I set myself last year but there is the #thehundreddaychallenge that I hope to take part in soon.... How I made this card.. I first of all stamped the flower spray on to some white stamping card (using Gina K's Black Amalgam Ink as you can use it for both alcohol and watercolour inks). Once it was dry, I then used a fine paint brush to add Cosmic Shimmer Masking Fluid to the flower image and then let it dry again overnight. I then used green, purple and blue shades of Dreamees Sparkle Re-inkers to create the background and let that dry too.  Once that was ok, I then rubbed away the masking fluid to reveal the white stamped image - I must admit, I probably wouldn't use the fluid again to do this as it rubbed some of the ink away. Father Christmas with Post Box 135x180mm card -  Day 314 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge, I have ventured into the world of Christmas by making this card from an A4 sheet o f preprinted cardstock (I think it is from Crafter's Companion ) and a Tattered Lace Pillar box die. How I made this card:- I took the pre printed "Father Christmas" (Raymond Briggs) from Crafters Companion and cut the top border off and reattached it to the top part of the card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue I then scored it to make into the card so it now measures 135x180mm approximately. I then cut out the "Pillar Box" die (from Tattered Lace) in white card and coloured it in using a "Dark Red" alcohol marker - I did it on both sides of the die-cut so that the colour was "solid" and glued it to the left hand side of the card (making sure that I would be able to add a letter to the entrance). Friend - white on white 7" x 5" card (with a touch of blue) -  Day 200 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Wow, it is hot outside and for day 200 of my 366 day challenge I have made this 7" x 5" white on white themed card using the "Friend" Create a card die from Crafter's Companion. I first of all cut out the panel in good quality white cardstock using the above mentioned die. It measures 4" x 6"  and so could be the complete front of an A6 card but I decided that I would use a 7" x 5" card instead. Before sticking it to the front, I coloured the word "Friend" in using the BT4 Spectrum Noir alcohol marker (making sure that the back was coloured too to give it a more "solid" effect. Thank you - floral 5" x 7" card (Adorable Scorable) -  day 179 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a stylish "Thank You" card using a Crafter's Companion Create a Card die template. I first of all hand coloured some white linen cardstock (I like the texture) with some distress inks (both Tim Holtz , Generation INX and DoCrafts ) to give it an "Ombre" feel  in greens , yellows and oranges and let it dry. Meanwhile, I then cut out the " Thank You " panel using the Crafter's Companion Die'sire Create a Card die in white cardstock. and left a small border round it and coloured it using " green" Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I also used one of their " red " Glitter " Sparkle pens " to colour in a couple of the flowers. Happy Birthday - Wellibobs on patchwork background 6" square card -  Day 172 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So it is day 172 of my challenge and I have been thinking of all those people going to Glastonbury and have an idea they maybe needing some of these during the festival!  This is a 6" square card with a really cute topper from Hunkydory. I first of all separated the 3 elements of the topper and stuck the largest frame to a 6" white card t (from Hunkydory) trying to leave a narrow border all around it. I then added the smaller one to it flipping it round so it was diamond shaped. One that was dry, I then added the main topper using 2mm foam pads to give it some height. I then found 4 buttons (2 matching green and blue ) and glued them to each corner so it co-ordinated with the whole design. Flowers and leaves blackboard style wall plaque -  Day 161 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have decided to use this Pinflair " Blackboard Frames cartonnage set " to make a bright and cheerful wall plaque. This set contains many different sizes of backing "sheets" and "frames" but I chose the largest (which measures 25x20cm )  of both to make this. So first of all, I painted both parts of the frame in black Pebeo acrylic Gesso paint a couple of times - first of all one way and then another the opposite direction and allowed them to dry. I then glued them together making sure it was even all the way round. I then cut out some flowers in various colours using the "Shades" cardstock (smaller version). I had tried using the original flower shapes that came with the Cartonnage set but felt they were too big for this particular project but will definitely use them for another one. I also cut...

Ice cream Camper van Just a note card -  Day 76 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well, the sun is shining again today and thoughts are beginning to turn to Spring (hopefully) - so for this card, I have used a lovely image of an ice cream van at a fairground from Crafter's Companion. I first of all added the topper onto 3 alternating layers of black and pink cardstock as it made the image really stand out. I then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut out 2 wavy borders in black card (you could of course used a die to do the same) and glued them to the left hand corner of the card. I had turned it so it was a tent fold shape. Once they were in the right position, I then added the topper using large foam pads to raise it up a bit. I had previously embossed a few " Just a note " sentiments using green embossing powder and so added one to some black card and then placed it at the bottom of the card using double lot of pads on one side. ...
