Owl on green mirri background- blank narrow DL card -  Day 16 of my 365 Day Challenge Hi Craft addicts! I posted this card on Instagram a few weeks ago but hadn't done a blog about it so am now doing so! How I made this card:- I cut out the owl in white cardstock using the Forest Pines Owl from Tattered Lace I then coloured it in using various brown alcohol markers trying to add some shading to it too and let it dry. I also cut out the main torn edged rectangle layer in green mirri card (again using a Tattered Lace die). Tonic Studios produced the die for the black mat which I thought would look good with the owl I then glued them both to the front of a narrow DL card and then placed the owl on top of them using foam pads to add some dimension. And there you are - a really quick and simple to make but would make a great card to give to someone. Products and items you may need to make this gift Narrow White DL card and envelope Owl from the Forest P...

Walking in a Winter Wonderland - narrow DL card -  day 323 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is one made for Christmas using Hunkydory Stamps and Tattered Lace dies. How I made this card:- I had stamped the topper using some stamps from Hunkydory and Card-io which I placed on a hand coloured background. (You can see more about how I made it in a previous blog). I then cut out a border strip with one jagged edge (using my Brother ScanNCut) in blue cardstock - this measures 4cm depth and glued it to the centre of a narrow DL card. I then glued the topper on top of it in the middle of the card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I also cut out the Tattered Lace " Snowflakes" Tuck in die in "Silver" Mirri card and trimmed it so that I could use it on either side of the topper. For the sentiment, I used "B01 - Blue " Generation INX stamp pad to add the "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" on eithe...

Hello foxy fox and bluebird on narrow DL card -  Day 297 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is using some of the "Woodland Wildlife" stamps along with one sheet of paper from the "Woodland Walk" foiled card pad that Hunkydory brought out in their "Stylish Silhouettes" series. How to make this card:- I first of all cut a panel (measuring 6x15cm approximately) from one of the papers in Hunkydory's Stylish Silhouettes 6" foiled paper pad. I then coloured it in so there was a sky and grass background - again using the Generation INX pads  (Blues/Greens) - I really love this as you can see! I cleaned the inks off the foiled parts and glued it to the middle of a narrow "White" linen effect card. I then added a border using some "wide" black peel off stickers to create a frame. Meanwhile, I stamped the "Fox looking up" on to some stamping card (This is from the "Stamping M...

3 simple but fun cards with balloons - Day 264 of my 366 day challenge

3 simple but fun cards with balloons  -  Day 264 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! These simple but fun cards have been made right from scratch - that is I have made the cards, cut the aperture out and designed the balloons etc using my Brother ScanNCut and CANVAS. To make these card templates: - I had run out of (or couldn't find any narrow DL cards - 69x184mm) so decided to make my own! I first of all went into CANVAS (Brother ScannCut's web app) and drew a rectangle with those dimensions and duplicated it.  I moved them closer together and grouped them together. I then adjusted them so that they were aligned at the bottom.  Once I was happy that they were straight, I ungrouped them and moved them 4 spaces each towards each other. When they were overlapping I welded them. I moved them up to the top of the mat and then checked that the rectangle measured 140x184mm- I did this as I wanted to add a scoring line down the middle which I did b...

New Baby narrow DL card - Day 41 of my 366 day challenge

New Baby narrow DL card - Day 41 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So for day 41 of my 366 day challenge, I have made a New Baby card which I think could be sent to either sex - but the background and embellishments could easily be any colour! So, I cut out the BABY blocks using the Tattered Lace Baby dies in white card and then glued them to some bright red linen card ( which you can get from Craft Creations ) once I was happy as to where I wanted them. I then cut the block out and placed it on some embossed cream card (I used the Heart Trellis 5" x 7" embossing folder from the Love and Romance Sara Davies collection ) and edged it using a Spectrum Noir Alcohol marker. I had used some Tim Holtz Distress inks to highlight the hearts in yellow and orange. Once the block was dry, I then placed the panel on to a narrow DL hammered card using some Sitx2 foam pads. I then cut out a safety pin and bottle in the matching red cardstock using the Baby die s...
