Happy Birthday Dragonfly with leaves alcohol inks A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one using a background created with alcohol inks and a dragonfly die! I sometimes find I use the inks and I think ugh what a mess but once cut with a die turns into something quite decent! How I made this card:- I took a sheet of Tim Holtz's Alcohol Ink Foil tape sheet (which is self adhesive) and added a selection of inks - from both the Ranger and Jaquard ranges. I still haven't tried using the Blending Solution yet but will do soon! As before, I wasn't too sure with the result but thought I would see what it was like die-cut so used the Dragonfly die from Sweet Dixie - it is quite a large one so can only been used with an A5 or larger die-cutting machine. Birthday lovelinesss..lighthouse in front of sunset... A6 white linen effect card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another I have made using stamps, Distress Crayons and dies... it is quick and easy to make too! How I made this card:- The base card I used is a white linen effect A6 card - I think these came from Craft Creations but any will do of course (I like the effect you get if stamping directly on to it). I first of all took a small piece of white card and stamped the Lighthouse (from Pretty Quick) on to it using Black Gina K Amalgam ink, I then coloured it in using red and cream alcohol inks from the Prism range from Hunkydory. Happy Birthday country scene white silhouette A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today is Throwback Thursday, and rather than reproducing an older card, I thought I would make a card using products that came out some time ago! And here it is.. a Birthday card using Hunkydory's Stylish Silhouettes sets which I have had for ages but haven't got around to using them! How I made this card:- You need to release the pieces you need carefully as they are quite delicate and the "pips" come apart fairly easily... anyway, I decided to use the clouds, sun, scarecrow, tractor and one of the landscapes and placed them on to a piece of blue card I had left over (it measures approx 4" x 3". When I was happy with where I wanted them, I used a PVA glue (the Cosmic Shimmer mini bottle as it has a very fine nib) to add glue to all the pieces and stuck them on to it - you can use either side of them as one is a brighter white and the other a laser cut effect. Enjoy the Journey...hot air balloons and hand painted background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I have made for "Watercolour Wednesday" - this time using stamps and a background created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons... How I made this card:- I first of all used the back of an old A6 Deckle edged cream card as a background panel - as it has a linen effect, I thought it would create an interesting texture. I then used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (such as Reds,Yellows, Greens, Blue, Purples - ie Rainbow colours) to try and give the impression of a landscape at sunrise/sunset.  I blended each colour at a time using my finger until I was happy with them and then used a paintbrush to blend them further. I stuck the whole panel on to the front of an A6 White card using a PVA glue. I really like the Scenescape Icons stamp set from Pretty Quick so stamped the Hot Air Balloon out 3 times onto some white card using Gina K Amalgam ink. I...

Trio of Animal silhouette A6 cards -  Cat, Dog and Hedgehog with flowers Hi Craft addicts! Well I hope you are having a good week so far and a Happy May Day to you all.... I had a great time making these three cards using a mix of dies and backgrounds I created myself. How I made these cards:- These are very quick and simple cards to make and would make great cards to give as Thank You cards etc. I first of all cut out the 3 dies (Cat, Dog and Seahorse) in black card (Lynda Chapman's). I then created three backgrounds - the cat and dog ones were made using Rainbow colour Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, lavender and violet) - the seahorse background was painted using watercolour paints - I blended them all using some water and a paintbrush. Once they were dry, I glued the die-cuts on top of each of them and trimmed around them, trying to leave as little of the background showing. Mermaid Canvas with textured background and Congratulations Bird A6 card Hi Craft addicts! As I have missed a couple of days posting anything, I thought I would show you two totally different things I have made for the 100 Day Challenge.... Mermaid stamp on 4" Canvas..  How I decorated the canvas:- I took a 4" white stretched canvas (Student Art) and covered it several times with Blue, Green and black Radiance Paints from Stamps Away - must admit I have had them for ages and didn't think they would be usable but had no trouble with them at all! Whilst the paint was still wait, I added more to the canvas, this time with the straight edge of a paintbrush raising it slightly to give it some texture. I then left it to dry overnight. I had one of these Mermaids already cut out (from Time For Tea stamp set) and thought it would go really well with it and attached it to the canvas with the relevant glue. Sending love silhouette flowers on hand painted background A6 card -  Day 223 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been playing once again with the Bleeding Art Tissue and this is how I made the background for this Sending love A6 white card along with a Tattered Lace die... How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (not measuring it as I knew I would be trimming it once I had finished colouring it). To make the background, I placed small pieces of the Bleeding Tissue on to a craft mat (or a glass mat) and added some water to it so the "paint" remained on the mat and placed the card directly on to the mat, covered it with some scrap paper and pressed it on to the paint. I repeated this with various colours (leaving it to dry a bit between each time) I used a paint brush to move some of the paint around and also moved the card to different places so that the whole of it was covered. When Life gives you troubles blow bubbles - C6 hand coloured card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a hand stamped, hand coloured one using some Altenew stamps and inks along with some Hunkydory Mirri card.  How I made this card:- I used one of the smaller "Halftone Circle" stamps from Altenew and stamped the front of a C6 white card (from the Paper Boutique collection from Creative Crafting World). I used "Ruby Red" and "Parrot" inks from Altenew and the "Tea Dye" Tim Holtz Ranger distress ink pads to do this. I then coloured a narrow panel (which I had cut out using Sue Wilson's striplet border die) using pale green and blue inks to give a landscape feel - I kept the card in the die whilst doing this to give a white border all around it.
