Wild and Free - Arrow and feathers 5x7in card Hi Craft addicts! Well the sun is shining - what a nice change! I had fun making this card  How I made this card There are two stamps by two different companies with the arrow and feathers as a theme and this one is the Woodware version (designed by Francoise Read) and first of all, I took a piece of White Stamping card (pre cut A6 panels from Rare Earth) and dusted it with an anti-static bag. I then stamped the image directly on to it with some Versamark ink. I covered it with Cosmic Shimmer True White Embossing Powder and then heat set it. I still love this technique! Once it was cool, I then sprinkled it with a variety of Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Shakers - Bright Sunshine, Tangy Tangerine, Lush Pink, Lime Burst, Electric Blue and Purple Paradise and then spritzed it with some water, allowing it to spread over the card. I then dabbed it with some kitchen roll to diffuse the colours a bit. The Green and White background ...

Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness Christmas is nearly here! This is a fun card I made using stamps, dies and a Peel-Off sticker.... How I made this project:- This is a 7" x 5" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World and I have used it landscape instead of the usual portrait. Tartan makes such a fun background that I used this red, green and black one to make the backing, trimming an 8" piece of paper (from a Hunkydory pad). I attached it to the front of the card using PVA glue and then cut a strip of the reverse side (Green) approximately 1.5" wide and the length of the main panel and then another one from the Tartan slightly narrower and stuck them together with PVA glue again. I then attached that to the main panel making sure that it didn't go over the edge. I cut out 3 circle frames - two in white ...

A Gift for you... unicorn and fairy in silhouette  7x5in black pearlescent card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness it is Friday already and the weekend is almost here... I have made this card using some toppers from the brilliant Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory... How I made this card:- I was really lucky to be given a set of the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit and so have made this one using the Unicorn and Princess silhouette oval. I first of all used a piece of white linen effect card and stamped the Rare Earth Sweet Traditions (stripes) pattern on to it twice - first of all using Pink Tulip from Crafter's Companions' Harmony ink set and then moved it slightly and stamped it again with Plum Jam from the same set.  As it is linen card, the lines aren't as defined as they would be with a smooth card but that was ok. Celebrate! Watercolour sea scene hand painted  7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! I am really trying to learn how to watercolour (with a varying degree of success) but thought I would use this scene I painted to make this Celebrate card...... How I made this card:- I had this shaped oval left over from a previous project, and thought that I would use it to create the scene and used pinks, oranges, yellows, reds and blues watercolour paints (any will do, but I used the ones in the Watercolour Wheel that Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me sold some time ago. When I was fairly happy with it, I let it dry naturally and then edged it with a bright blue alcohol marker. I wanted to add some items to it, so used the bird and yacht stamps from the Lighthouse Harbour set For the Love of Stamps range adding 3 birds and 2 ships to the scene using Black Gina K Amalgam ink. I realised that a part of the scene wasn't quite dry when I stamped it and so would make sure it was the next time ...

Season's Greetings to the Cat's Whiskers A6 Christmas card -  Day 326 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this card which my project for day 326 of my challenge. I used stamps, alcohol markers to colour the cat in... How I made this card:- I first of all stamped out the cat image (Christmas Cats Whiskers from Personal Impressions) onto pre-cut oval stamping card (from Hunkydory) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, trying to get it into the centre of the panel. I used TN4 and CB10 Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for the cat itself and then red, pink and blue markers for its' hat, scarf and the present's ribbon. Once I was happy with the colouring (or as happy as I will ever be), I then used blue and green distress inks to colour the background (like previous cards, I am still using what was left on a couple of sponge daubers)...and added it to a larger mat of Gold Mirri card (the next size up from Hunkydory's set) I then cut a...

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Happy Christmas card -  Day 322 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 322 of my 365 day challenge is a fun Christmas card featuring Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.... How I made this card:- I first of all used two Tattered Lace nesting square dies to create the background - the paper is from Hunkydory's striped 8" paper pad and I have used 2 sheets of the same design - the larger die for the stripe and using the reverse side of the paper for the smaller one. I then stuck them together trying to make sure that there was an equal border all around it. I then stamped out the Rudolph image (from Woodware) on to some white card and then coloured it in using alcohol markers - I must admit that I am really pleased with the nose - it looks shiny just be leaving a bit of white in it. Couple dancing in a picture frame with ribbon  -  Day 256 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made this home decor project for day 256 of my 365 day challenge using a Tim Holtz picture Frame, a Tattered Lace die and some Mirri card. How I made this project:- I first  of all painted the front part of the Tim Holtz picture frame using black Gesso paint and left it it to dry. I then coated it again. I then cut out the couple dancing (timely as Strictly starts properly next week) in black card (Lynda Chapman's) and attached it to some starry holographic Mirri Card from Hunkydory using a PVA glue. I trimmed it so it measured 50x95mm approximately and stuck that on to some slate grey (not sure the real colour's name) Mirri card. Before I glued the frame to the backing piece, I glued the black and white striped paper (again from Hunkydory) on to it and trimmed it to fit.  I then stuck the whole topper on to the back using foam pads so it sta...
