Japanese Lady behind screen A4 picture frame -  Day 267 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have to say that I am so pleased with the way this project has turned out - one of my successes if I say so myself... I have used an A4 picture frame to create this stylish home decor product! How I made this project:- I had cut out the Japanese Geisha Woman (from Tattered Lace) ages ago in black card and had always wondered what to do with her and suddenly had this idea... I first of all took an A4 sheet of Orange Create & Craft's Citrus Burst Linen card from their Core collection and made sure that it fitted this A4 Certificate Picture frame (which I got on Ebay). Hello! Oriental lady and Crane in silhouette 7x5in card -  Day 227 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I used Holographic Mirri card from Hunkydory, alcohol markers and some Tattered Lace dies to create this 7" x 5" white card for day 227 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I first of all took a pre-cut panel of Silver holographic Mirri card (from Hunkydory) and used some blue and green alcohol markers to cover parts of the card, leaving some of it plain.  I then left it to dry for several hours as I didn't want to smudge it. Once it was dry, I then added it to a slightly larger panel of black card. I cut out the Oriental (Geisha) lady and the Crane in reeds Tattered Lace dies out in black card.  I stamped the small butterfly and fan (from the Oriental series from Rare Earth) along the sides of a 7" x 5" white card using 2 colours (red and purple Distress inks) on the stamp at the same time.  I then stuck the panel on to th...

Life is beautiful Crane and reeds C6 card -  Day 199 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I was a bit late posting this on Instagram today but here is how I made this pretty card using a Tattered Lace die.... How I made this card:- I first of all die cut the Tattered Lace Crane and reeds Oriental image out of white card (you would need an A5 and above cutting machine to do this). I then attached it to a piece of Kraft card and cut it so that there wasn't any border around it. I coloured the Crane in pink using my Chameleon pencils and edged round the panel using a black alcohol marker. I attached the whole thing to a pre scored C6 Adorable Scorable cream/ivory card using some Collall All Purpose glue. I then stamped out the sentiment Life is Beautiful (I think it is from a Stamps by Me set) with Rare Earth Clear Glass ink on to some black card, added some Pure White Embossing powder and set it with my Heat gun. Congratulations sunrise hand coloured and stamped C6 card for Day 137 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I was really pleased with the way this scene turned out - I hope it does look like a sunrise/sunset!! I have also used some Rare Earth and For the Love of Stamps for the decoration. How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white Water colour card and using the textured side, I coloured it in using reds, oranges, yellows, blue and black to make the sunrise/sunset background. So I could mirror the top and bottom (to give an idea of shadow), I did each colour at a time blending them in as I went along. I then masked off the majority of the background, leaving only a small gap in the centre and sponged through it using some True Graphite Altenew ink (I moved the paper slightly at an angle so it gave the impression of there being land on each side. Japanese lady hand coloured in window A4 window frame -  Day 128 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This started out as a card but I thought it would be better shown as a wall hanging - I have used Tattered Lace dies, various inks and some alcohol markers in an A4 picture frame. How I made this project:- I took a window aperture card (from Hunkydory) and took the panels out. I also cut a second card up as I knew the back would be the exact fit. Rare Earth have produced a lovely set of stamps with a Japanese theme, and I stamped the sun (or moon) out on to the smaller panel using Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed Tim Holtz distress inks in the right hand corner. I used the bridge stamp and stamped it twice towards the bottom of the cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink (making sure it was in the right position by placing it behind the window aperture. Best Wishes Oriental Lady 7x5in card - new year, new challenge... Hi Craft addicts! First of all I hope you had a great Christmas and have a really happy New Year! Personally, I am amazed that I completed my 366 day challenge and am now working on my next one.. I aim to do as many challenges and blogs as possible but maybe not one a day :)  So, today's challenge is using a pre cut "Oriental Lady" silhouette topper (from Pinflair), some dye based inks on a 7" x 5" white card... How I made this card:- I cut out the "Oriental Lady" from the Pinflair Background Artist pack and coloured the background in "Blue" dye based inks placing a "circle" at the top of it as a mask. I also left some space towards the "mountain area" and then coloured that using some "Red and Orange" Generation INX pads trying to give a "cloud" effect. Once I was happy with it, I placed it onto a 7" x 5"...

Oriental style peacock on 7x5in card -  Day 299 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today I have visited the Orient and have made this 7" x 5" card using a beautiful "Peacock" topper from the Little Book of the Orient topper pad from Hunkydory along with frames cut out using Tonic Stuidios dies How to make the card:- I first of all took the "peacock" topper sheet from the "Little Book of the Orient" pad from Hunkydory and cut the main image out using the "label" frame that I think comes from Tonic Studios. I then used a sheet of the teal paper (from the "Radiant Radiance" paper pad and cut it out using the size larger frame and another one in black cardstock with the largest of the frame dies. I used Collall All purpose glue to attach the topper to the first frame and then that to the largest frame. I then stuck the whole topper to a white 7" x 5" card using a tape pen. Oriental themed set of 5 different tag shaped cards -  day 250 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is the 250th of my 366 day challenge and so I have made these 5 "Oriental" t hemed cards which will be given away to the first person who signs up to my newsletter on my website (click here) . As you can see from the photo above there are 5 different tag shaped cards all with an Oriental theme . I have made them using the following methods:but for all them i cut out an " Pin dot" oval shape in 2 different sizes using the Tattered Lace die. Pagoda - New Adventure - for this particular one, I coloured the oval using T im Holtz and Generation INX ink pads in Orange, yellow and black to make it look like a sunrise/sunset. I then cut out the "Pagoda" using a design from Tattered Lace in my Brother ScanNCut in black card. I then glued both to the centre of the card. I love the sentiments that you find ...
