Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card

Image
Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness Christmas is nearly here! This is a fun card I made using stamps, dies and a Peel-Off sticker.... How I made this project:- This is a 7" x 5" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World and I have used it landscape instead of the usual portrait. Tartan makes such a fun background that I used this red, green and black one to make the backing, trimming an 8" piece of paper (from a Hunkydory pad). I attached it to the front of the card using PVA glue and then cut a strip of the reverse side (Green) approximately 1.5" wide and the length of the main panel and then another one from the Tartan slightly narrower and stuck them together with PVA glue again. I then attached that to the main panel making sure that it didn't go over the edge. I cut out 3 circle frames - two in white ...

Happy Christmas Penguins and Igloo square card

Happy Christmas Penguins and Igloo square card Hi Craft addicts! I like using a variety of Companies when making my projects and this card is no exception! How I made this project:- This is a 5in white square card (which are available from a variety of Companies such as Hunkydory, Creative Crafting World and so on). I have had this A4 pad of a variety of Tartan papers for ages and so cut a strip (approximately 2" wide) and attached it to the left hand side of the card using PVA glue. I then stamped out two of the Penguins and the Igloo from Lisa Horton's Penguin Fun stamp set from Creative Expressions using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink on to some white stamping card. I coloured them in using alcohol markers (both Hunkydory's Prism and Spectrum Noir) and cut them out close to the edge, which I then coloured in with a Black alcohol marker. I stuck the Igloo and smaller of the Penguins down with PVA glue and then attached the larger one to the right h...

Rudolph on snowflake and reindeer DL card

Image
Rudolph on snowflake and reindeer DL card Hi Craft addicts! This is a cheerful Christmas card using a Tonic Studios baby Reindeer die, some stamps and reindeer backing paper. How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of Black card Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and cut out the baby Reindeer die (it is an old Tonic Studios one). I then stuck it to some Kraft card and cut around it leaving a very narrow border of the Kraft card. I cut out a background panel of the Reindeer Kraft coloured paper using a large rectangle DL die (Tattered Lace) and stuck it to the front of a DL card using PVA glue. I already had a Deckle edged rectangle panel (from Craft Creations) and I used Salty Ocean Tim Holtz Distress ink to colour it in slightly and then used a flowery/snowflake stamp to create the background - using Broken China ink cube so they stood out. I then added the panel to the top part of the card again using PVA glue and then attached the Rudolph die cut to i...

Snowman Happy Christmas card -  Day 352 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well not much longer till Christmas time and this is a quick and easy card using an older Tattered Lace die along with some circle ones, some peel off stickers and a sentiment.... How I made this card:- I cut out the Tattered Lace Snowman die in white card. I then cut out 3 circles (with ornate edges) - one in Black, one in Kraft and the smallest one out of red and white spotty paper. I stuck them on top of each other using PVA glue and then attached them to the front of a 5" white card again using PVA glue. Using Midas Touch Sticky dots, I then stuck the Snowman on. I placed 3 Peel Off Sticker parcels on to some white card and coloured them in using alcohol markers - you can of course use any colours you like! I then attached them on top of each other to the left of the Snowman, this time using a tape pen. I cut out the Happy Christmas sentiment out in Gold Mirri card and stuck ...

Cute mouse on bauble Sending Love at Christmas card -  Day 351 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts Today's card (day 351 of my challenge) is one I have made using a form of paper piecing, die cuts and alcohol markers. How I made this card:- I cut out the cute Mouse  on a bauble 3 times -  once in White card, another in Gold Mirri and the last one in Green Mirri. I then snipped the Green die-cut so that I could glue the bauble parts (the top, middle and bottom) on to the gold one leaving parts of it showing. I then coloured in the mouse itself using Grey, Pink, Red, Green and blue alcohol markers (Prism pens this time) and cut it so that only the mouse was remaining - I then glued that to the gold topper using PVA glue. I stuck the whole topper on to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) again using PVA glue. I had this sentiment  left over from Craftwork Cards  Year of Sentiments pad and adde...

Today's makes for day 350 of my 365 day challenge are 3 mini (3in) cards that could be used as gift tags too... How I made these cards:- Card One (Pudding) - I cut out the Christmas Pudding die (Tonic Studios) from Kraft card and backed it on to some white so that I could colour in the Holly leaves using green alcohol markers.  I left the icing as it was. I then glued it to a 3" white card using PVA glue and stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment just underneath it using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Finally, I used some Strawberry Coulis Nuvo drops (again from Tonic Studios) to add the berries. Card Two (Cute Critters) - For this one, I created a sky background with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean and Broken China) on to some white stamping card and cut a circle out using a Tattered Lace die. I then stamped the cute Critters image (from L...

Father Christmas & Rudolph on starry background card -  Day 348 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Once again I have used a couple of stamps, some alcohol markers, watercolour paints to make this fun Christmas card for day 34 How I made this card:- I stamped the Father Christmas and Rudolph (from a Sweet Dixie stamp collection) on to some white stamping card using Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured both in using red, black, brown and black alcohol markers with a flesh colour one for his face and a grey for his beard and the fur. I had previously coloured the night scene using a mix of watercolour paints and then, when it was dry, I used a Lawn Fawn starry background die and cut the panel out. I also stamped a couple of Christmas trees on either side of the panel using the Tuxedo Black ink. I then edged it with a black alcohol marker and stuck it on to a slightly larger panel of blue paper and then added that on to the starry panel (which is the reverse ...

Wishing You a Furry Christmas A6 card -  Day 345 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Wow only 2 weeks to Christmas and here is another card to celebrate it using Stamps from Personal Impressions and alcohol markers. I then coloured it in using a couple of brown alcohol markers for the kennel, grey and light grey for the snow and other colours for the fairy lights and cut round it leaving a narrow white border. I stamped some holly leaves directly on to the front of an A6 cream linen effect card again using the Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in using green alcohol markers. Using Cosmic Shim...

Happy Christmas Rudolph square card - Day 341 of my 365 day challenge

Happy Christmas Rudolph square card -  Day 341 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this Christmas card for day 341 of my challenge - this time using up items that I had cut out already but hadn't put to use! How I made this card:- Using the Rudolph die from Tonic Studios, I cut it out in back card (the outline) and stuck it to some light Kraft card and cut round it. I then used some brown alcohol markers to create shading. The first mat is a pre cut circle of white stamping card (from Hunkydory) which I coloured using Blue and Green Distress Oxide inks - to be honest I just used what was left on my dauber as there was still so much left on it! I then cut out a slightly larger circle (a Tattered Lace Torn Edge die) in Gold Mirri, The patterned mat was sold some time ago by Craftwork Cards and it has a resist layer so that when I coloured it using a variety of Dye based inks and removed the excess, it left this great pattern behind. I ...
