Gnome place like home...7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun Gnome themed card... I took a 7" x 5" sidefold landscape card (from Creative Crafting World) and cut two pieces of green textured cardstock (from Crafter's Companion) to look like grass hills. I attached the lighter shade first and then made sure the darker one was cut properly and stuck that to the card. I used a tape pen as I didn't want any glue to seep through. I love the gnome stamp from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps mini range and stamped it on to some white stamping card with Gina K Obsidian Black ink three times. I coloured them in using Spectrum Noir Triblend markers, keeping to three main colours, Orange, Purple and Pink - I also used a grey to highlight their beards. I also stamped out the Gnome sentiment and stuck it to some of the darker green card, giving it a wavy edge. I cut the Gnomes out leaving a narrow white border around them. I wanted them to be ou...

Wishing you Sunshine and Smiles... flowers and ladybirds  shaped card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is September now and the nights are drawing in (Boooo) so I decided to make this bright and cheerful card using a lot of Hunkdyory's products! How I made this card:- As I mentioned some time ago, I am trying to use up my older crafty stash and I have had these shaped cards (which I think came from Hunkydory) for ages, and thought I would use one on this card.# I first of all took the flower spray printed sheet (from Prism's Colouring 5" paper pad and coloured the leaves in using 3 shades of green alcohol markers (Prism, Spectrum Noir or Chameleon will do the job really well). I left the flowers white again and cut around the leaves trying to leave as little white space as possible. I then used one of the ladybird stamps from the For The Love of Stamps (once again Hunkydory) Spring Blooms Edge It set and stamped around the petals of the shaped card using Gina ...

Sea Scene with galleon, lighthouse and treasure A4 canvas - handpainted mixed media Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for Watercolour Wednesday is a canvas I have created using watercolour paints, dies, stamps and alcohol markers...it definitely needs improving as it is my first attempt at a larger composition.. How I made this project:- The first thing I did was to lightly draw in pencil where i wanted the various places to go on a prepared A4 canvas, such as the sand dunes, sea and skyline. I then started on the sky, using various shades of blue Watercolour paints - this time I used Kuretake's Gansai Tambi but any will do... I also added some white, grey and darker blue to give the impression of clouds in the sky. I then used darker blue shades to create the sea, adding a bit of green and white once dry. I also used some black paint to create the land in the distance (this definitely needs work on - but there again so does everything else). Using yell...

With Love & Best Wishes... Sunken galleon on sparkly glitter background A6 card

With Love & Best Wishes... Sunken galleon on sparkly glitter background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! I bought the set of sparkly glitter inks from Spectrum Noir some time ago and hadn't used them so thought I better had and decided to make this under the sea card.... How I made this card:- I first of all cut a piece of white stamping card (either Hunkydory's Ink Me or Rare Earth are great) and taped it on to an old chopping board (far better use for me than actual cooking) using low tack tape. I then took the Spectrum Noir Sparkle inks (Blue Topaz, Aquamarine and Pink Garnet) and painted the entire card. I used a heat gun to dry it but then left it to dry naturally. Once it was totally dry, I flattened it out and trimmed it to 3" x 5" (approx) so that it would fit an A6 card. I then used the Galleon wreck, Anchor and seaweed images from the You're a Treasure stamp collection from For The Love of Stamps and stamped them on to the bottom of the pane...

Thank You... Birds and flowers  6" black pearlescent card.. Hi Craft addicts! This card was fun to make and easy to - just a couple of stamps, some alcohol markers and some card! How I made this card (for the products used see below):- I first of all stamped out the Birds and flowers stamp (it is a large one so I used a stamping platform) on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink I then coloured it in using a variety of alcohol markers (Pinks,Yellows, Browns and Greens), blending them in to try and make them as realistic as possible. I used a dauber to colour in the background trying to create a sky effect. I then edged it with a blue alcohol marker and stuck it on to some Silver Mirri card using Collall glue. Using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue, I then attached the whole panel on to the left hand side of a 6" Black pearlescent card. I stamped the Thank You sentiment on to a scrap of white card again using Gina K's Black ink, cut ar...

Wicked.... A6 white Halloween card -  Day 296 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have had these peel off stickers for some time and thought it was about time I used them so this is the result! How I made this card:- I took a precut panel of white hammered card and coloured a sky scene using Tim Holtz Distress ink (Salty Ocean). I then added various peel off stickers (from Craft Creations) to create a scene - I was still able to used the spider's web even though it broke as it looks like the spider is trying to fix it! When I was happy with the way it looked, I added some True Graphite Altenew inks beneath the cauldron etc and also added a light brush of it over the spider's web.  I used two sizes of bat stamps (think they are from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps range and the larger one is from Bert and Gert's Halloween Range and stamped them randomly on either side of a white linen effect card using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used a rul...

With all my Love fairy and stars cream pearlescent card -  Day 259 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is one using an absolutely stunning image from one of the Twilight Kingdom Little Books from Hunkydory along with some of the stamps from one of the Christmas range from For The Love of Stamps again from Hunkydory. How I made this card:- I took one sheet of the tree at sunrise from Hunkydory's Twilight Forest Sunrise Little Book and attached it first of all to one of their pre cut A6 silver Mirri cards and cut it so that there was a narrow border around it. I felt that it needed something extra so stamped one of the fairies and a lot of stars from the For The Love of Stamps A Christmas Wish stamp collection using Versafine's Onyx Black ink. I then stuck that on to a piece of their Fuschia pink Adorable Scorable Flexiweight card. I had edged the topper sheet with a black alcohol marker but because it has a shiny surfac...

Food, Glorious Food 2019 mini calendar wall hanging -  Day 251 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a mini calendar (which you can detach) on a food themed MDF plaque... How I made this wall hanging:- I first of all covered the MDF plaque with two types of paper - the checkered red and cream paper on the front and a rainbow one on the reverse using a thin layer of glue - PVA is probably the best such as Pinflair. I then stamped out the hot dog, beefburger and tomato ketchup images onto some white stamping card and coloured them in using a variety of alcohol markers - I must admit I was quite pleased with how they turned out... The stamps are from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and I used Tuxedo Black from Memento to ink them. I also stamped out the ENJOY sentiment from a Craftwork Cards set again using the same ink and then coloured it in using Green and Purple alcohol markers. I cut them all out trying to leave a small white borde...

I will always stand by your side Flamingos and tropical things C6 card -  Day 175 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Today's card is a bright and sunny one featuring flamingos, pineapples and leaves! How I made this card:- I first of all placed both of the flamingos on to an acrylic block and using Onyx Black Versafine ink stamped them on to a precut white oval layer that Hunkydory produce. I then coloured them in using pink shades of Zig Clean Color water color pens. Once I was happy with the colouring, I then used a sponge to add the blue ink around them (I used Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress ink). I left a lighter area around the flamingos, I stamped the sentiment (again from the Flamingo Party set of stamps from For The Love of Stamps) using the Versafine ink above the flamingos. I then stuck the panel on to one of the co-ordinating gold layers. I cut a smaller panel of white stamping card (so that it left about 1cm al...
