Hello Sloth on a tree shrink plastic A7 card -  Day 246 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is one using a hand coloured background I made using Yupo paper, a stamp from Sweet Dixie, Shrink plastic and a Tattered Lace Die (amongst other things..) How I made this card:- I first of all stamped out the Sloth (from Sweet Dixie) on to the rough side of a sheet of Shrink Plastic using Black Stazon as you need it to dry quickly so you can colour it in. Once it was dry, I coloured it using shades of brown and green alcohol markers again leaving it to dry for a bit before cutting round it. I then used my heat gun to shrink it down and once it had stopped curling, I bashed it with the top of my ink pad (I must admit I still haven't quite got the hang of using Shrink Plastic but must keep on at it!!). I left it to cool down and started using some Spectra's Bleeding Art Tissue - this time adding various colours to a glass mat (spri...

Hello! Oriental lady and Crane in silhouette 7x5in card -  Day 227 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I used Holographic Mirri card from Hunkydory, alcohol markers and some Tattered Lace dies to create this 7" x 5" white card for day 227 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I first of all took a pre-cut panel of Silver holographic Mirri card (from Hunkydory) and used some blue and green alcohol markers to cover parts of the card, leaving some of it plain.  I then left it to dry for several hours as I didn't want to smudge it. Once it was dry, I then added it to a slightly larger panel of black card. I cut out the Oriental (Geisha) lady and the Crane in reeds Tattered Lace dies out in black card.  I stamped the small butterfly and fan (from the Oriental series from Rare Earth) along the sides of a 7" x 5" white card using 2 colours (red and purple Distress inks) on the stamp at the same time.  I then stuck the panel on to th...

Hello... flowers and leaves with foil C6 landscape card -  Day 175 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This is a quick and easy card to make that uses Hunkydory For The Love of Stamps, some inks and some foil... How I made this card:- This is a C6 white linen effect card which I have used with the fold at the top. I first of all used a cloud shaped template (from Pinflair) and coloured a panel (again white linen effect card) with blue Tim Holtz Distress inks. I then stamped the Hello sentiment in the middle of it with a paler blue ink (from Altenew). I stamped the flowers (from a Hunkydory For The Love of Stamps set) in red either side of the Hello and then the leaves in Parrot Altenew ink around it. I also added 4 leaves to the blue part with True Graphite Altenew ink. Before adding the panel on to the card, I used some medium width red liner tape and attached it to the top and bottom of the card, removed the liner and placed some turquoise/teal foil (from...

Hello Sunshine - parrot and tropical plants square card -  Day 99 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (for day 99 of my 365 day challenge) is a bright and fun card using Tattered Lace dies and Hunkydory For the Love of Stamps and Masks. Look out tomorrow for a special give away for day 100 of my challenge! How I made this card:- I first of all placed the Aloha! mask over the front of a 6" white scalloped edged card making sure that there was even spacing all round it and coloured through the border part of it using Altenew red and oranges dye based inks trying to give it an Ombre effect. Whilst that was drying, I cut the parrot out in white card using a Tattered Lace die and coloured it in with blue, purple and red Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I then used the leaf and flowers stamps (filled in ones) from the accompanying For The Love of Stamps collection and stamped them inside the border - using Onyx Black Versafine ink for the larger fro...

Hello - Have a great day! 7x5" simple white card with flower -  Day 91 of my 365 day challenge  Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a simple but stylish card that I have made using a Tattered Lace die and Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps and masks... How I made this card:- I first of all took a 7" x 5" white card (I like the ones that are slightly heavier gsm - this one is about 300/350) and attached the mask (Just my Type) to just below the top/side using some repositonable glue dots. Using a sponge dauber, I inked the bright blue Altenew ink (still don't know what it is called) making sure that the notebook edge and deckle edge top was coloured properly and then moved the mask down to finish the whole front of the card. I then repeated the process with the HELLO sentiment from the mask towards the top of the card. I left it to dry so I didn't smudge it, and cut out the trio of flowers using a Tattered Lace floral die and some ...

Hello Life is better in color C6 half tone circles background -  Day 88 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 88 of my 365 day challenge and this time I have used Altenew's Halftone circles for the background and that of the main sentiment. How I made this card:- I took a piece of C6 white stamping card and trimmed it slightly so that it fitted a C6 white card with a small border. I then used a Torn Edged circle die from Tattered Lace to create an aperture towards the top of the panel  and repeated the process, this time adding a slightly smaller circle so that created a frame and a mat in blue American Crafts/Core-dinations cardstock. I used one of the smaller half tone circles stamps from Altenew and coloured the panel using their red, blue, green and orange ink pads. I then took a slightly smaller one and added the black circles as I think it makes the whole thing stand out. I stuck the circle frame to the back of the panel and ...

Hello 6" card with hand coloured sunflowers for day 80 of my 365 day challenge  Hello Craft addicts! Today's card is a hand stamped and hand coloured Sunflower card which is ideal to say hi to someone - once again I have used Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps range. How I made this card:- I took a deckle edged 100mm square white card (from Craft Creations) and stamped the large Sunflower design in the middle of it - the flower is from the Dainty Daisies collection but I have used it as a Sunflower.  I added some clear embossing powder to the Onyx Black Versafine ink as I was going to used alcohol markers and heat set it. I then used one of the smaller flowers and stamped it around the larger one - heat setting a couple at a time with the clear embossing powder. Using various brands of alcohol markers, I coloured them all in (trying to blend the yellows and oranges to give it some proper shading). I then edged it with an orange alcohol marker and layered i...
