Happy birthday and all that jazz sax players on music background - day 102 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is once again using up pieces of card and paper that I had previously going to be using for another card but didn't... this time musical themed.... How I made it.... i went into Canvas (the Brother Scan n Cut's web app) and used the Image Tracing tool to add the Sax player and then cut it out in black card. I then cut out the Sax player on the right in green card using one of Tonic Studios' dies - I was going to paper piece it but decided against doing that as i think this effect of the solid one on the left and the outline on the right works well. I used Hunkydory's For the Love of Masks All That Jazz to add the border around the card - the ink pad used was the True Graphite Altenew one as I wanted it to be slightly muted.  I then masked through the musical notes part of the mask twice (once on each side again usi...

Rock n Roll blue and orange general C6 card -  day 47 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is nearly the weekend and it is day 47 of my 365 day challenge! I had a lot of fun making this card as it used my favourite blue ink pad and both masks and stamps from Hunkydory! How I made this card:- I took the largest oval torn edge mask (from Tattered Lace) and placed it on the front of a C6 linen effect card and coloured around it using my favourite blue Altenew inks, trying to make the corners darker than the middle bits. I then took the next size down and coloured the space using their yellow and orange inks. I added the Rock n Roll sentiment in the middle of it by using the mask and the same ink as I used for the card. The musical notes are from the mask too, and I coloured them in using Altenew's grey ink. The Flashes were stamped in black ink (from the accompanying stamp set (You Rock!) Finally, I stamped the guitarist (twice) and the singer (once) o...

All that Jazz - wall hanging with blackboard card to write on.. Hi Craft addicts! Today's make is a small wall hanging with the theme of "All that jazz" as I have used the stamps in that set from "For The Love of Stamps" from Hunkydory along with some blackboard card so that it can be written on.... How I made this wall hanging:- I took some "Red and white" dotty paper (from Kanban) and stuck it to both sides of a MDF wall hanging/plaque which measures 16x8.5cm approx using CS glue having precut them beforehand. I then used some "Red, Pink and Blue" inks (from Altenew and DoCrafts) and added the "splats" using the "All that Jazz"mask from the latest collection from "For the Love of Stamps" mask and stamps set from Hunkydory.  I then edged both front and back of the plaque with the "Red" inks  - I used a Ranger mini blending tool (these are great as you get several spare foam pads which yo...

Happy birthday - musical notes 7" x 5" white card - day 226 of my 366 day challenge

Happy birthday - musical notes 7" x 5" white card -  day 226 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made this birthday card that could be suitable for both men and women I think! To make the main panel - I first of all cut out the circle topper using the "Cut, Tuck and Fold" die from Tattered Lace in cream cardstock and folded the cut out bits so they overlapped each other - I think it would work brilliantly if cut out in "Topsy Turvy" card so another colour showed through. I also cut out the bright blue panel using the Tattered Lace "Pin dot rectangle" die and glued the circle to it. I also cut out the "musical notes" in black card using the Tonic Studios "Music" die and then glued it to the bottom of the card (I trimmed it so it fitted the card properly).  To finish the card - I added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment onto a precut oval I had in ...

Couple dancing with a Sax player in background - C5 white card - Day 165 of my 366 day challenge

Couple dancing with a Sax player in background - C5 white card -  Day 165 of my 366 day challenge  Hi Craft addicts! I am really pleased with this card as it mixes several companies'  products so well. I have chosen an A5 white card (again like so many of the cards I use, this is from the multipack from Hunkydory) as it is the right size to " showcase " all the images I want to use. I had previously hand coloured a panel of white hammered card (C6 pre cut from Craft Creations) using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Generation INXS ink pads in purple and pink shades adding a few circles of the darker ink with the thicker end of the Creative Expression Smoothies s ponges. Using the " damask " style frame from one of the toppers (from the " Shadows and Silhouettes " collection) from Kanban, I stuck it to the panel using " fingerlift tape " and then added another slightly larger panel of black card and glued the whole thing...
