Set of 7 gift cards with wild animals hand painted backgrounds - Day 235 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 235 of my 365 day challenge is a set of 7 mini gift cards using a variety of hand painted backgrounds and various animal dies.... How I made these cards:- There are a mix of various background colours on these cards as I tried to match them to the type of animals (all cut out in black card) used - I wanted to see how various types of cards reacted to colouring directly on to them rather than using a mat & layer - some, as you can see were more successful than others - so moving from top left to the bottom, they were done as follows: Octopus on a bluey purple background is on a white linen effect card and coloured using blues and purples Bleeding Art tissue paper which I placed on a craft mat and added some water to it so the ink came out and then painted the area in the middle (I first of all added a frame to all the cards usi...

Floral/Gardening themed card -  day 302 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge - (day 302), I have made a general really pretty card using one Hunkydory topper and a 6" card. How I made the card:- I used a 6" card (cream scalloped edge) to make this card (which you can get from most suppliers). I then used a "Gardening themed" topper from the Something for her collection from Hunkydory. I separated the topper into the 3 main elements and glued the largest frame onto the card. I then stuck the smaller frame to the card at an angle (so it was a diamond shape) and cut the overhanging bits off. I then added the main topper to the card using foam pads. Finally I used some "Pale Periwinkle" Jewel Nuvo drops and allowed them to dry (they dry translucent and are really pretty. And there you are - a general card with floral/gardening theme that has used a Hunkydory topper on a scalloped edged cream card.  Don...

To my Little Monster - Halloween Aperture DL card -  Day 291 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! Got myself a bit muddled with my challenge - it is only day 291 of my challenge and this time it is another Halloween card - this time a DL aperture card. Once again I have used the Hunkydory "Halloween" stamps set. How I made the toppers:- I first of all stamped the "Little Monsters" from the "Halloween" stamp collection on to different kinds of card - one normal stamping card and the other linen effect card (you can definitely see which is which) using Versafine "Onyx Black" stamp pad. I coloured the "Dracula" (the one on the left) using a black alcohol marker and a coloured pencil for his face. I used just the "black" pencil for both of the others as I wanted to have a different texture feel to them. I then used "Yellow", "Orange" and "Pink" for their faces etc. I also ...

Vintage Galleon on the high seas - 7x5in card -  Day 296 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had coloured this background a few days ago and had just cut out this "Vintage Galleon" die-cut from Tattered Lace and had that "lightbulb" moment that they would work together - so I made this card... To make the background:- I took a panel of stamping card (from the "Stamping Must haves" collection from Craftwork Cards and coloured the whole area very lightly in shades of "blue" (mainly from Generation INX) gradually making the bottom part darker (trying to make it look like the shimmerng sea). I then masked off part of the panel at a slight angle with some paper I had torn to create the two islands (there is one behind the ship) using "Tuxedo Black" Memento ink. Monochrome black & white (with bow)  7" x 5" white card -  Day 280 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 280 of my 366 day challenge and I have made this monochrome black and white 7" x 5" card using only a couple of dies and the trusty Nuvo drops! To make the card:- I first of all cut the larger frame out using a "Picot edged" die (using 2 of them) in "Black Adorable Scorable" card. I then cut out the "fancy frame " in white card (it is such a lovely design) I glued it to the larger frame using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and placed it on a 7" x 5" white card (from Hunkydory) I then cut out the "Ribbon Bow" from Tattererd Lace in black card and added it to the centre of the card. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Vintage Grand Prix C5 cream scalloped edged card -  day 246 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today, I have gone vintage using this great "Grand Prix" image from one of Hunkydory's "male" collections in this tent fold C5 cream scalloped edged card. To make the card -  I first of all took the " Vintage Grand Prix" oval topper from the "Gentleman's Journey" cardmaking kit and removed the two frames from it. I then used the largest oval and measured the inside of it as I wanted to make an aperture within the C5 cream scalloped card - this measured 11x14cm approximately, I used the standard shapes within my Brother ScanNCut,  chose an oval and resized it. I then scanned in the card using the Scanning functiion and placed the "Oval" where I wanted it to be and cut it out - why have I never used this before - it was so simple! Time passing - with love clocks 6in card -  Day 244 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today, I have tried to use different ways of using things, so have used some papers from the "Bohemian Dreams" 8" paper pad collection along with some " Silver" mirri card. To make the card - I first of all cut a piece of the "numbered" paper to 135mm square and glued it to the front of a 6" inch white card. I then took a sheet of the "Silver" Mirri Card and embossed it using the "Small Polka Dots" folder from DoCrafts. I then cut it down to 128mm and attached it to the card so that there was a narrow border remaining. After that, I cut out the "clocks" from the "Bohemian Dreams" collection (2 sheets) and fussy cut them and glued them one on top of another at irregular angles.
