Happy Father's Day - Football Subbuteo square card

  Hi Craft addicts! Well, here is the first in a series of quick and relatively easy cards that can be made for Father's Day -  you can also change the sentiment so that it is suitable for birthdays, thank you or just because!  I have used a sentiment and topper from Hunkydory and the "flower" was made from the Tattered Lace Trio dies. I have also used a lovely backing paper that I got from Craft Creations which reminded me of grass but am now not sure if it is still available).... Anyway, the first thing you need to do is decide how much of the card you want covered by the green striped paper (I cut mine 9cm approx) and then glue it to the card - again using Collall All Purpose glue gives you just that little bit of time to make sure that it is in the right place..  Having done that, I added the Hunkydory Subbuteo Football topper on to a mat of black cardstock from Creative Crafting World (the die itself is from the Spellbinders' Lacey...

Happy Father's Day - my next challenge has been decided...

Hi Craft addicts! As Father's Day approaches, I thought my next project would be making some cards and perhaps gifts for that special dad out there - I also think you can use them for other occasions by just changing the sentiment. It has been a consistent complaint that there are not that many male themed toppers/ideas out there so thought I would use the following ones that I have found: Hunkydory have produced some sport themed toppers so have used both a football and golf one for the first two cards and also an Art Deco themed one which I really like but now am not sure if it is suitable for a Father's Day card but anyway it can be used for any occasion as I haven't yet put a sentiment on it... I still can't work out why the photo turns out pinky - it is definitely a 300gsm white square card...
