Have a great day! silhouette man and child on hand coloured background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Hope you all had a brilliant weekend and today has been good so far! I had great fun making the background for this and felt really good when I managed to make my own printable papers from it! How I made the card:- I first of all used various shades of blue (and one green) Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to design an abstract floral pattern, blending them as I went with my finger as they dry quite quickly.  I also used a paintbrush to smooth any rough parts of the design. I then took a photo of it, cropped it so it was a rectangle and dragged it into My Craft Studio Elite (a software programme from Tattered Lace or you could used Craft Artist if you still have it). I played around with it and decided not to change anything, saved it as both a JPEG and PGN format and printed it out.. Create your imagination - Oriental tree shaped card -  Day 243 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is part of a series I am going to be launching on my website in the next couple of days. I have got to design these cards and gifts using both Tattered Lace images that can be found on one of their USB's which are used in conjunction with the Brother ScanNCut and Pinflair's Background Artist series. To make the topper:-  I first of all cut out the white doily shape using a Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) die and backed it on to some Lynda Chapman's Black card and cut round it following the shape loosely. I then cut out a scalloped circle and inked it using some Generation INX ink pads, Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Altenew inks in "Pink" , "Orange" , "Green" and " Yellow" trying to make it look like the sky. How to make a gift card using a small lighthouse (foiled) topper and Imagination crafts paints -  Day 235 of 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I had a little lighthouse topper left over from a Hunkydory collection (M idnight Silhouettes "By Land, Air and Sea,Blue Topaz ) and was wondering what to do with it and this is what I came up with.... As this topper is weeny, I needed to make a small card for it and these 3" white cards are ideal as they can be used either as a gift tag or just to say hello! I got a small piece of cardstock (it was actually a scrap left over) and coloured it using some  Starlight Paints from Imagination Crafts  (Greens, Browns, Reds and yellows) - the card is "Hammered"  so it gave a really great effect.  I also added some water to the top part to give it an impression of l ights coming from the lighthouse amongst some clouds... Oriental scene in silhouette in large wooden picture frame -  day 205 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made this Oriental inspired Wall hanging/picture frame (measures 24x32cm approx) which I think is really stylish and would make a great gift (you can buy it from my website by clicking on the button to the right) I first of all used one of the Oriental theme "Background Artists" silhouette picture from Pinflair (you can get them here and coloured it in using a variety of distress/dye based ink pads (from Tim Holtz and Generation InX ) in red , orange , blue, purple and black colours to create a sunset scenario . I then burnished the silhouette shapes to get rid of any surplus inks. I then edged the panel with some black alcohol marker pen and glued it onto a panel cut out in white cardstock using the Spellbinders Fanciful Lattice die template. It's Time to Party! Flamingo and balloons DL card -  Day 108 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! i chose this topper as it is so much fun and thought it went very well with the background that I had hand coloured using a variety of ink pads. I took a pre-cut piece of A6 white linen cardstock and coloured it using both Tim Holtz Distress , Papermania and Altenew dye based ink pads (pinks, yellow, greens and orange) merging them in together so it created a really lovely background - the linen effect gives it a great texture too. I then trimmed it slightly and glued it to some of Lynda Chapman's black card. I looked at a variety of the toppers in the "Bigger Book of Toppers" - Birthdays and chose one of the flamingo images as I thought the colours co-ordinated with the background quite well.
