Balloons on misty morning handmade card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card (from scratch) for my 365 day challenge is this one using Creative Expressions and Hunkydory products (amongst others....) I used the Creative Expressions Noble Dies (Ornate Pierced rectangles) designed by Sue Wilson and cut out two pieces in white card. To make the card, I scored one of the pieces about 3/4" at the top using my Adorable Scoreboard and folded it back, removed the backing layer and stuck them together, making sure they matched. I then cut out the ornate layer in Kraft card and stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty tape pen as I wanted the glue to stick the card rather than the holes! I took one of the Tag shaped card from Hunkydory and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir Harmony inks (yellow and orange) to create a sunrise effect. I then used Gina K Obsidian Black ink to add the hills and mist effect. I took a black fineliner and added the trees and then stamped the Balloons and birds from a Cre...

Just for You - Abstract flowers A6 card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card is a very quick and easy card using Lisa Horton dies. I rounded the corners of a white A6 card using Hunkydory's Prism punch first of all. I then used a stitched rectangle die (measuring approximately 3" x 4.5") and cut out a piece of white card. Using Crafter's Companion Harmony Water reactive ink pads, I created the sunset ombre background by blending them all in starting with the Lemon Tonic, then Honey Pot and finally Fuschia. I left the panel to dry and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I also used the same inks to colour another panel of card and then cut out the Flowers from Lisa Horton from it and then some others using Lynda Chapman's Black card (from Creative Crafting World) which I had added some self adhesive backing sheet to. Once I had cut them out, I removed it from the card and then added the black selection to the panel and burnished them down. I used the coloured flowers to add s...

Just a note to say Hello 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective card. I took a piece of watercolour card and first of all used various blue shades of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks - such as Salty Ocean and Broken China on the bottom third and then used Oranges and Yellows (from Crafter's Companion Harmony range) on the top two thirds and blended them all in. I then took some water and sprayed it and left it to dry. Whilst it was drying I took some Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and cut out the tree silhouette die (from Tattered Lace Wondrous Wilderness collection). Using some more of the black card, I mat and layered the background on to it using PVA glue and trimmed it so there was a narrow border all around it. I then stuck the tree on to the panel and attached it to the middle of a 7" x 5" white card using foam pads to give it some height. I stamped the sentiment on to some card and stuck it to the top of the panel us...
