Balloons on misty morning handmade card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's latest handmade card (from scratch) for my 365 day challenge is this one using Creative Expressions and Hunkydory products (amongst others....)

  • I used the Creative Expressions Noble Dies (Ornate Pierced rectangles) designed by Sue Wilson and cut out two pieces in white card.
  • To make the card, I scored one of the pieces about 3/4" at the top using my Adorable Scoreboard and folded it back, removed the backing layer and stuck them together, making sure they matched.
  • I then cut out the ornate layer in Kraft card and stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty tape pen as I wanted the glue to stick the card rather than the holes!
  • I took one of the Tag shaped card from Hunkydory and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir Harmony inks (yellow and orange) to create a sunrise effect.
  • I then used Gina K Obsidian Black ink to add the hills and mist effect.
  • I took a black fineliner and added the trees and then stamped the Balloons and birds from a Creative Expressions.
  • I edged it with a black alcohol marker, stuck it to some orange card, cut around it and then stuck it to the front of the card using foam pads.

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
