Home Sweet Home.. Circle card - 365 day challenge

 Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's card for my 365 day challenge is one made totally from scratch - from the card itself to the stamping...

  • I decided to make the card from scratch and so used one of the larger circle dies from Tattered Lace's Circle Mini Lace edge set and cut two out from Sheena Douglass's Willow White cardstock.
  • I scored one of them about 3/4" down from the top using a scoreboard (my one of choice is Hunkydory's Adorable Scoreboard).
  • I added some red liner tape to the above the score line, removed the backing and stuck the two together making sure they lined up properly.
  • I cut out the House in silhouette die (Crafter's Companion Gemini Our Home pop up die) from Lynda Chapman's Black card and placed it on a piece of white card that I had coloured in using a variety of blending brushes with blue, yellow, and brown hybrid inks (Tim Holtz Distress Oxide, Aladine Izinks and Nuvo ink pads).
  • I took one of the Tattered Lace dies (one size up from the House die cut) and cut it out.
  • I then used the next one up and cut a mat layer in Lynda Chapman's Black card and attached them all together using a solid tape pen.
  • Finally I stamped the Home Sweet Home sentiment (from the Gemini collection) on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink, fussy cut around it and then edged it with a black alcohol marker and added it to the bottom of the card with a tape pen.
  • Oh yes... I cut the bottom of the card so that it stood up without rolling over!

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card - Day 265 of my 365 day challenge

Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
