Wish... Bird on branch silhouette on rainbow background 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts This was really great fun to make using dies and a rainbow background I created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. How I made this card:- I had created two backgrounds on some white card using the Rainbow coloured Distress Crayons - I added one colour at a time (in stages) and blended them in again one at a time. I then used a paintbrush and water to smooth the colours out. Whilst they were drying, I used the middle 2 dies from the Oceana Layering Die set from Tonic Studios and cut the background frame out. I really like this die as it is quite unusual. I also cut out the Birds on branches die (from Tattered Lace) in Black cardstock as I thought it would look great as a silhouette on the rainbow background. Mermaids and underwater themed C6 gatefold card -  Day 198 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge (day 198 - goodness 200 is nearly here)...and I have made this Mermaids underwater themed C6 gatefold card. How I made this card:- This is a gatefold card, so I cut 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller than each of the front panels, making sure they fitted. I had bought some Creativ Bleeding Tissue which I had seen on Create and Craft and wanted to try it out, so I tore various strips (different shades of blue), wet the panels (one at a time) and placed the strips on top of them, brushed over them and then removed them to see what effect you can get from them - I also used a brush to blend the colours slightly. (I am going to do a rainbow version soon and will see what I can make of it! I then glued the panels on to the front of the card using PVA glue and left them to dry a bit.
