   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Poppy themed 7x5in card. I used a Hunkydory Prism punch to round the corners of a 7" x 5" landscape white card (from Paper Boutique) but decided to use it as a tent fold one instead. I then used one of the larger Rectangle Mini Lace dies from Tattered Lace and cut it out in Holographic Mirror card (from Kanban). I took a piece of Willow White card (from Sheena Douglass) and placed it in a stamping platform and then stamped the Poppy image (from Sheena's Tall & Elegant Refined stamp set) a couple of times to get a crisp image using Gina K Black Obsidian ink. I die cut the image using a slightly smaller die from the same Rectangle set and stuck it to the larger panel using a tape pen as I didn't want any glue seeping on to the Mirror card. I attached the completed panel on to the front of the card with some PVA glue, trying to leave a narrow border all the way around it. F...

Thinking of you today.. Church in silhouette on hand coloured background A6/A2 card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one I have made using a Die for the main focal point on a background I created myself using Distress Oxides. How I made this card:- The base card is an A6 (A2 in the US) which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... I used a pre cut A6 panel from Rare Earth and first of all used some Green Gossip inks coloured the hill at the bottom of the cardstock and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening, I cut out the Church silhouette (Serenity die set from Tattered Lace) in black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) - I used both the main oval and the inside die together on a magnetic sheet so they didn't move... Once that was done, I stuck some yellow/gold card behind the windows to make it look as if there were lights on - I used a PVA glue as it grabs better than a wet one. I also used a Black alcoh...

Just to Say.. Thinking of You poppies DL card -  Day 315 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought on this Remembrance Sunday, I would show how to make this card with Poppies as the main theme. How I made this card:- I coloured the trio of poppies (from a pre-printed paper pad from Hunkydory I think or it could have been from Chameleon) using Pink and Red alcohol markers (from Spectrum Noir). I then cut around the poppies leaving a white narrow border around it. I decided to use a DL cream card landscape as the Poppies would fit perfectly in the middle of it. Before doing that, however, I cut a strip of green embossed (with spots) card and glued it in the centre trimming it so that it fitted and then drew a black line along the top and bottom using an alcohol marker. Thinking of you Lilies in a watering can square card -  Day 270 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (Day 270 of my 365 day challenge) is one I made using a pre printed image from Chameleon Note cards and some watercolours. How I made this card:- I took the pre printed A6 Lilies in a Watering Can topper from Chameleon's Note cards and coloured it in using a variety of products -  The watering can was coloured in using Grey shades of Prism markers deciding where the shading should be and leaving the central part of it lighter to make it more 3 dimensional. I then coloured the lilies and leaves using pink and green markers again trying to give them a sense of dimension. Once I was happy with the colouring in, I then took some Creata Bleeding Art tissue and placed blues and green sheets (having torn them into strips first) on a glass mat and added some water to them and then used a paint brush to create the background. Sending love silhouette flowers on hand painted background A6 card -  Day 223 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been playing once again with the Bleeding Art Tissue and this is how I made the background for this Sending love A6 white card along with a Tattered Lace die... How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (not measuring it as I knew I would be trimming it once I had finished colouring it). To make the background, I placed small pieces of the Bleeding Tissue on to a craft mat (or a glass mat) and added some water to it so the "paint" remained on the mat and placed the card directly on to the mat, covered it with some scrap paper and pressed it on to the paint. I repeated this with various colours (leaving it to dry a bit between each time) I used a paint brush to move some of the paint around and also moved the card to different places so that the whole of it was covered. A Little note to cheer you up...hand coloured & stamped Lily C6 card Day 135 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 135 of my 365 challenge and this time I have made a "Cheer You Up" card using a Hunkydory For The Love of Stamps Lily, some foil and some dies. How I made this card:- I cut out the two nesting Label Tags (I think they are Tattered Lace but might not be) in a dark blue (shows as Turquoise in the picture) and then matted the smaller silver holographic Mirri card on top of it. I had previously cut out the circle die-cut in white card and whilst still in the die, had coloured it in using Blue distress/dye based inks, trying to make it lighter at the bottom.. I stamped out the lily (from the Lovely Lilies For The Love of Stamps collection) on to some white stamping card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it in using Pink  shades of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (PL1 and PL2) leaving some white at the tips of the petals. Thinking of You or Easter handcoloured C6 card -  Day 65 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's project for my challenge, I have made this simple but stylish card that could be used for Easter which is coming up or just to say you were thinking of someone. How I made this card:- I used a tent fold C6 white card and trimmed a piece of this beautiful blue Core-dinations 12" card stock to fit it (leaving a narrow white border around it. I then cut a strip of parchment/vellum (approx 2") and wrapped it around the panel using tape at the back to attach it. I had cut the layer out of white card, using a Spellbinders Die (I wish now i hadn't got rid of it) and keeping the card in it, used Altenew and Distress inks to colour it leaving a white space in the middle of it. You are on my mind church in silhouette C6 card -  Day 46 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card has been made using a Tattered Lace die set, some Altenew inks and a sentiment from Creative Expressions. How I made this card:- I really like these dies from Tattered Lace and do think that they work well as a silhouette. There are two parts to this set, and I first of all placed the oval mat layer die on a magnetic shim and then fitted in the church die so that there was hopefully an equal border around it and cut it out in both black and white card. I must admit I did try and cut out a yellow one too but realised that it would cut out the bits that I wanted (next time I will use tape behind the card to keep them in) so I stuck a piece of yellow card on the reverse of the church and cut round it so that the windows looked as if they had lights inside. Just a note to lift your spirits balloons C6 card -  Day 43 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card was made as my project for day 43 of my 365 challenge - once again it is using one of the stamp sets from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps Collection (Up and Away) and Tattered Lace die. How I made this card:- This is a C6 white linen effect card and as I didn't want to have anything showing through it (as I would be using alcohol markers as well as inks), I cut a panel 145x85mm approx in white stamping card. I used what was left on my sponge daubers (blues and greens) to create the sky and land scene allowing it to be quite "pastel" in effect. I let that dry and concentrated on the balloons which are stamped once again on stamping card, this time using Versafine Onyx Black ink and a clear embossing powder which I heat set so that I could use alcohol markers to colour them in.
