Thinking of You or Easter handcoloured C6 card -  Day 65 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's project for my challenge, I have made this simple but stylish card that could be used for Easter which is coming up or just to say you were thinking of someone. How I made this card:- I used a tent fold C6 white card and trimmed a piece of this beautiful blue Core-dinations 12" card stock to fit it (leaving a narrow white border around it. I then cut a strip of parchment/vellum (approx 2") and wrapped it around the panel using tape at the back to attach it. I had cut the layer out of white card, using a Spellbinders Die (I wish now i hadn't got rid of it) and keeping the card in it, used Altenew and Distress inks to colour it leaving a white space in the middle of it. I really like the way there is a slight blue tinge to the card where the die holes were.... I also cut out the cross in white card (I think it is a Tattered Lace one but could b...

Thank you - abstract circles C6 blue themed card -  Day 44 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card - is a simple card that I have made to give to someone who has sponsored my diet (for MacMillan Nurses) - it was easy to make but I am really pleased with how it turned out... To make this card you need to do the following:- I masked off the back of the card so that I could stamp/emboss directly on to the front of a C6 card. I then used the largest of Altenew's Half Tone circle stamps and stamped it randomly using Versamagic ink and then added some fine White embossing powder and heat set them using a heat gun. Once they had cooled down, I used the lovely blue Altenew ink pad (still not sure of its' name) and coloured the front of the card, trying to get a mottled effect with darker parts in places. I let that dry for a bit and then used a cloth to get rid of the excess ink which allowed the white embossed parts to stand out more. To make the ...

Beautiful inside and out - blue themed c6 card -  Day 41 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Just a quick card today as I am channel hopping watching the Rugby and the Winter Olympics! Here is day 41's project for my 365 day challenge - hope you like this hand coloured and hand stamped card.. Here is how I made it.... I had cut out a butterfly previously using a Tattered Lace die but felt that I could use the "waste" as a stencil if I was careful and so I coloured through it randomly using one of Altenew's mini pads - I have tried and tried but cannot read what colour it is on the lid... Anyway, once I was happy with what I had done, I checked it against the card and saw it was too big so I trimmed it down using my Cutterpillar Pro and then coloured the edge of it using an alcohol marker. I then stuck it to a slightly larger panel of blue paper (from the Rainbow Radiance Stylish Silhouettes paper pad) and also trimmed that down  I stamped the ...

Thanks - flowers and circles lacy shaped card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (well made yesterday) is a "Thank you" card which I have made using a lovely shaped card from Hunkydory, some Altenew stamps and inks and a couple of Tattered Lace flower dies. How I made this card:- I first of all took out all the bits of the lacy card and then, using the "Ballet" mask/stencil from "For The Love of Stamps" collection from Hunkydory and coloured the edge of it using the "Blue" inks from DoCrafts on all sides of the cards (both in and out) I then cut out the middle two scallops from both the front and the back to give it a different feel to it. Using the "Half tone circles" stamps from Altenew, I coloured the front of the card with "Parrot, Olive and Ruby Red" inks again from Altenew. I had also coloured and then embossed some card which I then cut out using a Tattered Lace flower die (not sure which one) and anothe...

Dandelion heads stamped and coloured square card Hi Craft addicts! So, for today's post, I have made this striking but simple card using Hunkydory's "In my Thoughts" from the For the Love of Stamps collection, some black card and coloured using distress inks. How I made this card:- I first of all took 4 pre-cut deckle edged panels (67mm square) and stamped the largest of the "Dandelion" heads (from the "In My Thoughts" set of stamps from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps collection using the "Smokey Grey" Versafine ink pad in the centre of each of them.  I then coloured 2 panels using Altenew's "Red" shades Crispy Ink pads leaving the centre lighter than the outer edges. I repeated this using DoCrafts Blue inks on the remaining 2 panels. Once they were all dry, I cut out a larger panel in black card (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) that was slightly bigger and glued the 4 of them on to ...

Flamingo - Happy birthday on narrow white DL card -  Day 307 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today "Flamingoes" are the theme for this fun narrow DL card using a Hunkydory topper, some background paper from Creative Crafting World and a hand coloured background. How I made this card:- I first of all used a stencil (from a spiral topper I cut out using my Brother ScanNCut) and coloured the front of a narrow DL white card with "Blue - B01"  (Generation INX stamp pads from Stamps by Me) and a "Dark blue" one from Papermania. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the "Bright blue" panel using some Topsy Turvy cardstock and stuck it on to a slighter larger panel of blue patterned paper which I had cut out from the "Radiant Rays" collection from Kanban (again this is double sided so you could use either). I then took some of the "tribal" looking background paper from the "Walk in the Wild" Pollyan...

Bottles Galore Happy Birthday 5" x 7" card -  Day 137 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts So for today's card, I have made this " Happy birthday" card which has a Hunkydory topper as the main focal point. I first of all cut out two panels using the Tattered Lace "Pin dot rectangles" in different shades of blue cardstock. I then placed some blue "Organza" ribbon around the centre of the darker of the blue card. I then used the " Happy Birthday" script style stamp to create a border around the edge of the light blue cardstock. (( used Memento Onyx black i nk) and stuck the whole panel on to the brighter blue card. Once that was done, I stuck the whole thing on to the front of the 5" x 7" card using Collall All Purpose glue to give me some "wiggle" time. I then added the Hunkydory "bottles" topper in the centre of it using some foam pads to raise it up a bit. I haven't pu...
