Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card Hi Craft addicts! Am back in the world of the internet after a few days and thought I would make this Fairy themed Birthday card and here is how I made it using some Hunkydory and Rare Earth products.... How I made this card:- The background is one I created using one sheet from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring Pad Vol.2 - I coloured it in using purples and yellow Tim Holtz Distress and Rare Earth inks - I placed some on a glass mat directly and used a paintbrush to blend the colours in. Whilst it was drying, I used some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to add a border to the right hand side of a cream/ivory 7x5in card (landscape/tentfold) - I had previously placed the topper on to the card to make sure it will fit. Hogs and Kisses... cute pig with parcel on trellis background  7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! Am so glad it isn't as hot today as yesterday, have actually got to make a card which I think is quite cute but stylish too! How I made this card:- The base card I used is an Ivory/cream (7" x 5") which I got from the Core Collection from Create & Craft. I first of all die-cut the larger of the two Moroccan Trellis frames (from Tattered Lace) in black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and stuck it with PVA glue to the Ivory Linen effect card from Create & Craft... You could use Sticky Roll or self adhesive backed card to do this too so you wouldn't get any glue seeping out. Using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink, I stamped out the Piggy stamp (from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps Hogs and Kisses collection) onto white stamping card and coloured it in using Prism  Watercolour pencils (any other brand will do the job too).  I fussy cut aro...

Happy Birthday hot air balloons on acetate A6 cream card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is definitely a work in progress insomuch that it definitely needs improving.. but if  you want to see how I worked on it so far then read below! How I made this card:- This is an A6 cream pearlescent card with a matching envelope but needed a plain background so cut a piece of white stamping card slightly smaller than the card itself. I used the Stamps By Me Watercolour paints wheel and painted a sky scene using the blue palette. I heat dried it but also left it to dry for a bit. I then took a piece of the Hot Air Balloons acetate that Hunkydory produced some time ago and trimmed it to fit the white panel. This acetate is double sided (gold on one side and silver on the other) and decided to use the latter for this card. Cute Snowmen on 2 handstamped 4in cards -  Day 332 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making these cards using stamps and alcohol markers - they are small cards so could be used as tags too! How I made these cards:- Card One (left) I have had the oval mats and layers from Hunkydory for ages and thought I need to use them up so used a medium sized one for the card on the left. I stamped the skating snowman out on to the white INK me oval card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trying to make sure it was in the middle. I coloured it in using Orange, Red and a cool Grey alcohol markers (any will do but I used Prism markers from Hunkydory). I then attached it to the Gold layer using a tape pen, again trying to make sure it was centred. I also added some blue and green dye based inks to create a background. Love anchors the soul - sea scene with lighthouse C6 card -  Day 182 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I know I shouldn't be complaining but I do think it is a bit hot now and so I  have made this sea scene as that is where I would like to be right now! How I made this card:- I first of all I created a sea scene at sunrise or sunset using Tattered Angels Color Wash paints. I tried to reflect the sun on the waves by mirroring what I did at the top on the bottom. I then used some paper to mask off both most of the panel leaving a small area (at an angle) and coloured through it using True Graphite Altenew ink to create the land. I added some shadows to under the land and in the waves with some alcohol markers and then added some white gel pen to some of them to create the "foam". I then used the smaller of the boats in the Ahoy Matey Stamp set from the For The Love of Stamps (by Hunkydory) and stamped them in various places on the water. I also ad...

Bee Happy - Bees and honey jar on 7x5in white card -  Day 177 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well as it is sunny outside, I thought I would produce this bright and colourful card using some dies, stamps and alcohol markers. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out ornate frame (I think it is a Tattered Lace die) in white card and then the mat layer in black. I then used one of the bees stamps from the Bee Happy set from For The Love of Stamps by Hunkydory in Versafine Onyx Black ink and coloured the body in using orange and yellow Zig Clean Color pens. I also stamped the Bee Happy sentiment (adding the two stamps on to the acrylic block at the same time) again with the Versafine black ink. I then stuck the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card (with the fold at the top) using Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue. I used an Altenew green ink pad (I think it was either Parrot or Moss) to stamp the flower in each of the 4 corners. Using Vers...

Bee Happy Round Wall hanging -  Day 173 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a wall hanging using Hunkydory's Bee Happy For The Love of Stamps and a chipboard/MDF circle. How I made this project:- I first of all painted both back front of this chipboard (but it could be MDF) using Black Gesso a couple of times leaving it to dry between coats. I then stamped the beehive, honeycomb, bees and the sentiment Bee Happy using Versamagic ink pad and then heat embossed them with White embossing powder. When they were cool,I coloured the beehive in using Chameleon pencils and highlighted the BEE part of the sentiment again with yellow and orange pencils. I also coloured the bees bodies with the same colour. You can use ribbon or cord so that it can be hung up. Flowers and leaves - 2 for the price of one - C6 card and CD sleeve - Day 145 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! As it is the Bank Holiday and I probably won't be doing a blog tomorrow, I thought I would write about these two projects which have both used stamping and colouring over embossed images. How I made these projects :-  Both projects have been decorated with the Floral Favourites For The Love of Stamps by Hunkydory using slightly different methods. Let your Dreams blossom C6 landscape card I first of all blended some blue, green, yellow and orange distress inks in stripes directly on to the top and bottom of the front of the card as I like the way the Linen effect gives it some texture. I then drew a line above/below the strips using a black alcohol marker.
