Cute Snowmen on 2 handstamped 4in cards for day 332 of my 365 day challenge

Cute Snowmen on 2 handstamped 4in cards -
Day 332 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

I had great fun making these cards using stamps and alcohol markers - they are small cards so could be used as tags too!

How I made these cards:-

Card One (left)
  • I have had the oval mats and layers from Hunkydory for ages and thought I need to use them up so used a medium sized one for the card on the left.
  • I stamped the skating snowman out on to the white INK me oval card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trying to make sure it was in the middle.
  • I coloured it in using Orange, Red and a cool Grey alcohol markers (any will do but I used Prism markers from Hunkydory).
  • I then attached it to the Gold layer using a tape pen, again trying to make sure it was centred.
  • I also added some blue and green dye based inks to create a background.
  • I have painted the background using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints (blue shades painted horizontally) and then cut it out using a Tattered Lace square die (not sure which one) once it was dry.
  • I then added the topper on to the background and stuck it to the front of a 4" white linen effect card.
Card Two (right)

  • For the second card, I used the Best Friends stamp (from Sweet Dixie) and stamped it out on to some white stamping card again using Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and again coloured it in using Greens, Purples, Blues, Reds and Greys alcohol markers - this time using a mix of Spectrum Noir, Altenew, Prism and Nuvo.
  • I then cut it out leaving a narrow white border around it.
  • I also cut out a Torn Edge Rectangle in white card using a Tattered Lace die and coloured the background using the Blues and Greens dye based inks.
  • I then attached it to the front of a 4" white linen effect card using PVA glue and placed the Snowman on to the bottom half of the card using foam pads.
  • For the sentiment, I placed the stamp (from the Penguin Fun set by Lisa Horton for Creative Expressions) on to a mount, curving it slightly and stamped it directly on to the top of the card using the Memento ink.

And there you are -  TWO quick, easy and fun cards that would be great to receive!
