Santa A6 card and Christmas Post Box narrow DL Card for day 329 of my 365 day challenge

Santa A6 card and Christmas Post Box narrow DL Card -
Day 329 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

As I didn't post a blog yesterday, I thought I would show how I made these 2 different Christmas cards.....

How I made these cards:-

Santa with mini Santa....
  • I cut out the Santa Claus die (from Tonic Studios) a few times in black and white card and stuck the black parts on to the white.
  • I then coloured the hat and coat with red alcohol markers and then the gloves in green. I also added some grey to the beard and fur on his coat. I also coloured his face in a flesh alcohol marker and black/grey for his boots.
  • I used a snowflake stencil to create the background, colouring it in using a blue distress ink. I then cut it out using a Tattered Lace torn edge rectangle die.
  • I stuck the Santa on the panel using PVA glue and edged it with a blue marker.
  • I then glued the whole thing on to a white A6 card and stamped the Season's Greetings sentiment underneath the panel with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • Finally, I added the small Santa embellishment to the top left hand corner using PVA glue.

Christmas Post box....

  • This card has been made using the Christmas Postbox die (again from Tonic Studios), cut out in black card and then added to a panel hand painted by myself using PVA glue. I trimmed it and then added it to a slightly larger Silver Mirri card panel.
  • I then glued that to the front of a narrow DL card again using PVA glue.
  • Finally, I stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment (from the same sentiment stamp set by Tonic Studios) again using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

And there you are - 2 Christmas cards that what would be great for all ages!
