Something Beautiful is on the horizon... safari scene 5" square card Hi Craft addicts! I have had the Stamps By Me Gossip inks for ages and thought I better use them and this is the result... How I made this card:- The base card is a 5" square one which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... I took 3 inks from the set (they don't have names on the bottles), and using the pipettes provided, put some orange, red and the darker red onto a palette. I then took a waterbrush and painted a piece of white stamping card (this is Hunkydory's Ink Me card but you could used watercolour card but I wanted a smooth surface) using the orange first and then the red and finally the darker red. The inks have a Mica in them so when you look at it when it is dry you can see a sheen to the card. Once it had dried, I added various images from the Go Wild stamp set from For The Love of Stamps using Gina K Black ink. I stamped the bi...

New baby washing line with hand coloured background C5 card - Day 183 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well craft addicts, I am now half way through this year's challenge and I have made this New Baby card - well I made a couple of them and someone preferred the other one! How I made this card:- I first of all used a mix of purple. blue and yellow inks (Catherine Pooler and Tim Holtz) to colour through the footprint part of the For The Love of Masks Mask - trying to alternate the colours and position of them as I covered it. Whilst that was drying, I then coloured a smaller piece of white stamping card using blues and greens to create sky and grass effect and again let it dry. I then stamped the washing line posts on to the card using Versafine Onyx Black ink on either side of the card and added a line across them using a Fineliner pen. Using the Versafine ink, I then stamped out the baby clothes again  on to some white stamping card and heat set them befo...

Flying by to say Congratulations - Planes and Parachutists 7x5in card Day 152 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a fun and whimsical Congratulations card made using For The Love of Stamps and mask, alcohol markers, distress/dye based inks and Zig Clean Color pens. How I made this card:- I used a 7" x 5" white card for the base card, and using the For the Love of Masks Plane Cute coloured the border using Salty Ocean Tim Holtz Distress inks, moving it along every so often as it is a square mask and this is obviously a rectangle one! Once I was happy with it, I then used the mask to ink through and added the planes, clouds and birds and FLY images, using the Salty Ocean and Seedless Preserves inks (some lighter than others). I then stamped out the parachutists and a few of the planes several times on to white stamping card and coloured them all in using different alcohol markers - I did use Zig Clean colour pens for one of the p...

Hay There cute animals with rainbow in window apertures 6" card - Day 138 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 138 of my challenge was really fun to make - once again using Distress inks and stamps from For The Love of Stamps Hunkydory collection. How I made this card:- I first of all cut a window aperture card in 2 and removed the panels in each quarter (to be used another time!) and used a Rare Earth Woodgrain stamp to colour the front of the window using Rusty Hinge Tim Holtz Distress ink and put it aside to dry. I then stamped out the donkey, cow and pig on to some white stamping card using Onyx Black Memento ink and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (brown shades along with pink ones for the pig). I then took the spare piece of card and blended some blue inks together to give a sky impression and stuck the window to it leaving some space inside the frame so that I could stick the animals etc inside them s...

Treat Yourself! Afternoon tea themed C5 white card -  Day 134 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is nearly afternoon tea time whilst I am writing this, so thought it would be fun to make this themed card using For The Love of Stamps and Masks along with Alcohol markers and distress inks. How I made this card:- This is an A5 white card, and I used the lacy quarter circle from the Afternoon Tea For The Love of Masks stencil to colour though it using blue and red distress inks ( I also let the colour appear on the edges of the card). I then took the Strawberry component of the mask and stencilled through it using some bright red ink, and then used the leaf/stalk part of the smaller strawberry to stencil through using some green inks. I added the cherries in the opposite corners again using 2 shades of red inks. I also coloured in a circle of white card (using a Tattered Lace die) again using the reds and blues inks and again let it dry. The larger cu...

Bee Happy beehive, honey and bees 7in square card -  Day 131 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 131 of my 365 day challenge is one using the Bee Happy stamp and mask collection from Hunkydory, some alcohol markers and inks. How I made this card:- I used the Bee Happy For the Love of Masks stencil to colour the border of a 7" white car using Altenew inks - Mango Smoothie, Cotton Candy and Mustard Seed Tim Holtz Distress inks. I then stencilled through the small bee section of the mask using Pure Graphite Altenew ink in each of the corner. I cut a panel of orange card (from Coredinations or American Craft) which measured 150mm square and edged round it using a dark brown alcohol marker. I decided to use 4 pre-cut white card panels (approx 67mm each) and stamped one using the honeycomb, another with the BEE happy sentiments, smaller bee and flowers, a third one with the beehive and the last one the honey jar. I then stamped one of th...

Birthday wishes - steampunk background 7in square card -  Day 130 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! This project was fun doing as I was experimenting with using inks through a mask, embossing through it and other fun things! How I made this card:- I used a piece of  6" white stamping card (from Rare Earth) and attached the mask (Mechanical from That Special Touch) to it using some removable glue dots. I added the colour through it using Dreamees Sparkle inks, blending the different colours (green, pink and orange) in various places. The edges were also coloured and trimmed it so there was just a narrow border all around. Once I was happy with the effect, I carefully removed the stencil. I took a coordinating piece of green card (smooth side) and embossed through it (with Versamagic ink) using the Key to My Heart For The Love of Mask stencil and adding Seafoam White embossing powder. I edged the smaller panel in green alcohol marker. Before placing ...

Set Sail vintage galleon on hand coloured background 7x5in card - Day 124 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I was playing with some Brea Reese Watercolour inks to make the background for this 7x5in card. How I made this card:- I first of all covered a piece of white cardstock with water and then painted the sea scape scene using blue, greens, purples and yellow watercolour inks from Brea Reese. I left it to dry overnight and trimmed it so that there was no white card showing. I then used the hill part of a mask and stencilled through it using Pure Graphite Altenew ink cube. I used the galleon stamp from For the Love of Stamps Set Sail set and stamped it on the bottom part using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it in using some brown and grey alcohol markers. I also used one of the stars stamps and stamped it all over the sky using DoCrafts Crystal White pigment ink. I also stamped the Set Sail sentiment in the sky using Rare Earth Clear Gloss ink and Sea...
