Make a Wish .sunset hand coloured 7x5in cream card -  Day 271 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am really pleased with the way this sunset has turned out - using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours - they are really rich and vibrant along with some stamps from Card-io and a Tattered Lace die. How I made this card:- I coloured a piece of white linen effect card (the back of a card I didn't use) using various Kuretake Gamsai Tambi paints - mainly black, reds, orange, yellow and green trying to create an atmospheric sunset. I love the effect that the linen effect card creates as it gives a textured feel to it and then once it was dry, the space at the top where I didn't totally cover it in paint looks like stars! It is best to leave it to dry naturally as the card doesn't bend so much and so once it was, I edged it with a black marker and then attached it to some more white linen effect card which I also edged in black. I then used some stamps from ...

Happy Christmas - Robins singing... Kraft card - Day 321 of my 366 day challenge

Happy Christmas - Robins singing... Kraft card -  Day 321 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! As it is now just over a month till Christmas, I thought that my challenges for the next few weeks should reflect this!. So today's card is a cheerful Christmas card using Peel Off stickers and stamps. How I made this card:- This is a 135x135mm Kraft card and I first of all added a "Cream" insert which I cut down to fit inside. I used fingerlift tape to attach it to the back of the front (if that makes sense). I then cut out an oval in "Black" cardstock and another slightly bigger in cream - any die will do to make these but they should be the "nested" so you know that they are the same shape! I really like these "Robin" peel off stickers  which you can get from Craft Creations  and so took 2 of them (looking in opposite directions) and added them to some white card. I also added a few "Gold" stars to brighten the pan...

Winter Scenes x3 hand coloured gift tags/labels - Day 316 of my 366 day challenge

Winter Scenes x3 hand coloured gift tags/labels -  Day 316 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge are 3 different gift tags which I have hand coloured and hand stamped using various ink colours and stamps. How I made these tags:- I first of all took 3 4" small white cards and using the small "Label/tag shaped" die cut these tags out. You have to make sure that one of the edges of the die (side or top) is slightly overhanging the card so that it makes a card rather than 2 different tags! As you can see from the tags, I have used "Blue" DoCrafts Papermania dye based inks to create the sky - gradually using more and more to make the sky darker at the top.  For two of them, I also cut out a small circle in white card stock and stuck it lightly (using temporary glue) to where I wanted the moon to be and repeated what I had done for the one on the right hand side. For both the "landscape" and one of th...

A Year wiser... Owl themed 5x7in card - Day 304 of my 366 day challenge

A Year wiser... Owl themed 5x7in card -  Day 304 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 304) is an "owl" themed birthday card using Hunkydory stamps, Card-io stamps and some colouring pencils... How I made this card:- I took an 7" x 5" card and turned it so that it was landscape and stamped the "branch" that comes in the Stylish Silhouettes "Festive Foliage" series from Hunkydory "For The Love of Stamps" - this can be used for any season as you can add leaves to it too. I then stamped some "Pine cones" again from the same set in both "Onyx Black" Memento ink and some others in "Brown - BR02" from Generation INX using the 2nd Generation technique to make some lighter. Taking the "Owl in flight" stamp from the "Woodland Wildlife" , I stamped it just above the branch and added 2 birds from the "Christmas Chorus" stamps (from Maj...

Wishing you the very best C5 hand stamped card - Day 288 of my 366 day challenge

Wishing you the very best C5 hand stamped card -  Day 288 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Been playing again with the brilliant Generation INX dye-based ink pads and some of the stamps in a couple of the Card-io collections - and this is the result! To make the card first of all:- As I made this aperture card myself, I took a normal C5 card and cut out the circle where I wanted it using the "Pin dot" die from Tattered Lace. I wanted to make the topper the same size as the aperture, I decided to use the "waste" to stamp my image on - as the card stock is "Colour Me" from Hunkydory, I knew this would be fine.... I then used my "Scor-pal" and first of all scored vertically every 1/2" and then scored horizontally from just under the hole again every 1/2". Finally I added some diagonal scores on the top half - again on every 1/2" I then added a single row of black wavy peel off stickers to separate them....

Couple in park - hand coloured and stamped card - Day 285 of my 366 day challenge

Couple in park - hand coloured and stamped card -  Day 285 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! I have made up my own story for this card - will have to write it down some time! Anyway, this time I have used a hand stamped and coloured design on Tattered Lace background panel on a Hunkydory card. To make the card:- To make the topper itself, I took a piece of "white" linen effect cardstock (this is from Craft Creations) and cut it out using one of the "Pin Dots" circle dies from Tattered Lace - this one measures 8.5cm approximately. Keeping it in the die (I used some low tack tape at the back), I coloured the sky first of all using "Blue" Generation INX inks masking off the lower part of the circle with some card. Once I was happy with the colouring, I reversed the mask and coloured the grass area a couple of times using "Green" inks (again from Generation INX) leaving part of it lighter nearer to the horizon. I th...

Floral hand stamped C6 card - Day 262 of my 366 day challenge

Floral hand stamped C6 card -  Day 262 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Have been trying my hand at stamping and colouring and have made this C6 card for day 262 of my 366 day challenge. To make the topper: - To make the main focal point, I first of all cut out an oval shape 100x78mm approximately in white stamping card and cut out the centre of it so it was a frame. i then coloured it using " Green G01" and "Yellow Y02" making the bottom half of it darker than the top. I then added the leaf images using Card-io's Majestix "Autumn Wreath" stamps - double stamping them to add different shades to the image (I used "Onyx Black" Versafine ink as it is much better to use for smaller/more detailed images. I repeated this on the inside of the frame.  To make the card:- Using a wavy border strip I had cut out using black card, I added it to the top and bottom of the card. I then added a smaller oval in...
