Sea Scene with galleon, lighthouse and treasure A4 canvas - handpainted mixed media Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for Watercolour Wednesday is a canvas I have created using watercolour paints, dies, stamps and alcohol markers...it definitely needs improving as it is my first attempt at a larger composition.. How I made this project:- The first thing I did was to lightly draw in pencil where i wanted the various places to go on a prepared A4 canvas, such as the sand dunes, sea and skyline. I then started on the sky, using various shades of blue Watercolour paints - this time I used Kuretake's Gansai Tambi but any will do... I also added some white, grey and darker blue to give the impression of clouds in the sky. I then used darker blue shades to create the sea, adding a bit of green and white once dry. I also used some black paint to create the land in the distance (this definitely needs work on - but there again so does everything else). Using yell...

Just Because... dogs in silhouette on hand painted background  A6 card...  Hi Craft addicts! I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead! I had fun painting the background and then deciding what to use it for - these dog silhouettes were just the right thing! How I made this card:- The base card I used is a white linen effect A6 card - I think these came from Craft Creations but any will do of course. I first of all die-cut the dogs (from the Fun, Frolics and Flight Tattered Lace Collection) out in black card. I chose these two as they look as if they are coming from different directions. The card is Lynda Chapman's black card from Creative Crafting World. I then took a small piece of white card (I used stamping card but watercolour card would do just as well) and created the sea scene using Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors and Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Shimmering watercolour paints. I love these paints as the paper shimm...

To the Best Friend - lady in pink dress hand coloured  5" x 7" card Hi Craft addicts! Well I enjoyed making this card a lot - using a mix of dies, Distress Crayons and stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the lady in white card from the Free Spirit Die by Tattered Lace. I then coloured it in using watercolour paints (you can of course use any colours you like) and stuck it on to some black card, trimming it to leave a narrow border. I used Rainbow coloured Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to colour a background on to some white linen effect card, and once happy with it, blended the colours in using a paintbrush and left it to dry. I then cut out a lattice background (from a Spellbinders die) in black card and stuck it over the rainbow one and trimmed it again. Using Collall All Purpose glue, I attached the main panel on to the front of a 5" x 7" white card. I then placed the lady die-cut on to the card with a mix of foam pads and glue. I also st...
