Bird of Paradise Fun and Festive Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is gatefold style using one sheet of Hunkydory's Christmas toppers and a couple of candy striped square cards... How I made this card:- I had these Candy striped 5" (approximately) cards which were produced by Craftwork Cards ages ago and decided I must use them up! So I placed one of the cards upside down and stuck it to the inside of the 2nd one using PVA Glue - I trimmed the left hand side slightly so that it fitted perfectly. I folded both flaps that were created in on themselves so they met in the middle, creasing them with my bone folder to give a good crease. I took all the components out of the Christmas topper sheet and decided which bits one I wanted and decided on the four corners (which I stuck on with PVA in each corner). I then took the Bird of Paradise topper out and stuck it (again with PVA glue) to the left hand flap - making sure that there was no glue on...

Cosy Christmas snowy village in jar 7x5in Kraft Card Hi Craft addicts! Well I am back using Blogger for a while to see if there is any difference in the take up - here is a quick and easy Christmas card I made using Hunkydory and Sweet Dixie products. How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white card and used the largest die within the Holly die set from Sweet Dixie to cut it out. I then took a red alcohol marker to colour in the berries (you can see where they should be in the die cut. I decided to leave the rest of it white and so stuck it to the front of a 7" x 5" Kraft card using some PVA glue - you could of course use a wet glue, tape pen or fingerlift tape. I then used the rectangle Snowy Cottage scene topper from one of Hunkydory's previous Christmas collections and added it to the centre of the card, this time with foam pads. Little Monsters birthday gatefold card -  Day 257 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am trying to use up some of my old stock and found these cute monster toppers from Hunkydory so decided to make this A6 gatefold card.... How I made this card:- As mentioned above, I found these fun toppers from a monster collection from Hunkydory, so separated the main one from the frame and placed the latter on both sides of an A6 white gatefold card and stuck it down. Once the glue was dry, I snipped between the two sides to separate them. I then used Gina K Connect Glue to attach the main topper to the left hand side of the card using the frame as a guide. Using foam pads, I then attached the two smaller toppers to either side of the card at an angle. I also used the bat stamp from Bert and Gert's Halloween collection and added them in each corner using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Thanks -  a fun dog on tree background 6in card -  Day 164 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 164 of my 365 day challenge is a fun card using a mix of Hunkydory and Craftwork Cards (along with some foil and self adhesive paper). How I made this card:- Hunkydory had produced some pre cut 6" Adorable Scorable cards and so I thought I would use one for this project. I first of all added some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to the bottom edge leaving about 1/4" at the bottom and then added some teal/turquoise foil on top of it, burnished it and then repeated the process on the right hand side. I had previously coloured (using distress inks) this topper from Craftwork Cards but didn't really like the card I made so stuck it to some purple/lilac self-adhesive paper (from DoCrafts) with some Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue. I then removed the backing sheet of the paper and stuck it directly to the top left hand side of the car...

Thank you card - Vintage lady and gent DL card -  Day 153 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is a quick DL card using this fun vintage style topper I have had for ages - it could either by a Hunkydory or Kanban one - not sure to be honest - but still it is a good one to use on a DL card... How I made this card:- I first of all scored 4 lines using my scoreboard along the bottom of a DL card (inside first of all and then outside). I then added the topper directly on to the front of the card, leaving a small gap between it and the scored lines using finger lift tape. I then used the rectangular Speech bubble stamp from Hobby Art Stamps set and stamped it on to some white stamping card using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then stamped the Thanks sentiment in the middle of it using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Ho, Ho, Ho Father Christmas tent fold card -  Day 329 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is a very quick Christmas card using a Hunkydory topper from last year along with some glitter (from Tonic Studios) on a tent fold style 7" x 5" card. How I made this card:- I have had this topper for some time so thought it was time I used it - so I first of all embossed some white card (about 2" wider than the topper itself) with a leaf embossing folder (think it is from Tattered Lace). I coloured it using red, green and blue inks to highlight the embossed areas and attached the topper to the centre of it using a tape pen. I then removed the centre frame (I will use it another time) and stuck the larger of the two on the card and trimmed it to fit. Before adding it to the card, I added 2 strips of red liner ultra strong tape to the bottom and right hand sides of a 7" x 5" card that I had rotated it so it was tent-fol...

Floral/Gardening themed card -  day 302 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge - (day 302), I have made a general really pretty card using one Hunkydory topper and a 6" card. How I made the card:- I used a 6" card (cream scalloped edge) to make this card (which you can get from most suppliers). I then used a "Gardening themed" topper from the Something for her collection from Hunkydory. I separated the topper into the 3 main elements and glued the largest frame onto the card. I then stuck the smaller frame to the card at an angle (so it was a diamond shape) and cut the overhanging bits off. I then added the main topper to the card using foam pads. Finally I used some "Pale Periwinkle" Jewel Nuvo drops and allowed them to dry (they dry translucent and are really pretty. And there you are - a general card with floral/gardening theme that has used a Hunkydory topper on a scalloped edged cream card.  Don...

With Love - Poppies 5" x 7" card -  Day 296 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today I have made this Poppy themed card using a hand coloured image along with a smaller topper from Hunkydory on a 5"x7" white card. How I made the card:- I coloured in the "Poppies" image (from the Color Cards from Chameleon Pens using shades of "red" and "Green" Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then cut it out leaving a white border around it. I then coloured it again using "red" and "green" Sparkle pens and let it dry. I used the Tattered Lace "Pin dot - Rectangles" set of dies and cut out a panel of black cardstock using the largest die. I added the "red and yellow" polka dot "Washi tape" - I like this particular one as it allows you to see some of the black through it.
