Wishing you a Happy Birthday.. Steampunk Dog 7x5in card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a fun Birthday card with a Steampunk Dog theme using dies, Pixie powders and stamps... I created the background using a mix of various "Pixie Powders" - from Cosmic Shimmer and Pretty Gets Gritty. I love the way you never know what effect you will get once they have been added to the Yupo paper and then sprinkled with water. I attached it to some black card with PVA glue and trimmed it so there was a narrow border around it and glued it to the front of a 7x5in landscape white card (from Paper Boutique by Creative Crafting World). I also rounded the corners using the Prism (Hunkydory) Corner punch. Whilst it dried, I cut the Steampunk Dog and his hat (Dawn Bibby's Mechanical Menagerie Darwin the Dog die set) out of Lynda Chapman's Black Card which, as the dies are quite intricate, I had added some Wild Spider self adhesive sheet to the back.
