Wishing you Sunshine and Smiles... flowers and ladybirds  shaped card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is September now and the nights are drawing in (Boooo) so I decided to make this bright and cheerful card using a lot of Hunkdyory's products! How I made this card:- As I mentioned some time ago, I am trying to use up my older crafty stash and I have had these shaped cards (which I think came from Hunkydory) for ages, and thought I would use one on this card.# I first of all took the flower spray printed sheet (from Prism's Colouring 5" paper pad and coloured the leaves in using 3 shades of green alcohol markers (Prism, Spectrum Noir or Chameleon will do the job really well). I left the flowers white again and cut around the leaves trying to leave as little white space as possible. I then used one of the ladybird stamps from the For The Love of Stamps (once again Hunkydory) Spring Blooms Edge It set and stamped around the petals of the shaped card using Gina ...

Just Because... green and white themed flower 6" square card. Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a very quick and easy one to make but looks very stylish (well I think so anyway!)... Hunkydory have such great products and this is just one of them... How I made this card:- The base card is a 6" square one which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... The main image is a preprinted one from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring pads Volume 2.. there are several of each design so you can easily decoupage them - I have an idea as to what I might do next so watch this space! I decided that I wanted it to be just one colour and white, so coloured all the leaves in using Hunkydory's Prism Green alcohol markers - adding the lightest one first, then the darker one and then blending them together. Just  Because Chrysanthemums and Tulips Shaped card  Hi Craft addicts! I have had these shaped cards for ages and really had no idea what to do with them until I had this idea - using Thirsty Brush dies/stamps along with Hunkydory's Prism alcohol pens and a Just because sentiment... How I made this card:- I had some ink daubers with some ink left on them so decided to create this pastel background with what was left - I blended them in so they made new colours too! I decided to ink both the front part of the card along with the part of the inside that is showing. I then stamped out the large flower image (from the Chrysanthemum die and stamp set from Thirsty Brush on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Amalgam ink (so I can use both alcohol markers or watercolours) and coloured them in using Hunkydory's Prism Alcohol markers - I decided to make them bright and cheerful as I thought it would make it stand out more.  Once I was happy with the shading ...

Birthday Wishes... Floral spray on sunrise background A6 cream card Hi Craft addicts! I found a whole stash of these A6 Deckle Edged cards and thought I better make use of them! How I made this card:- I created the background using a panel of white stamping card (precut panels 147x76mm are available from Sweet Dixie). I used Orange, Red and Yellow Prism ink cubes and blended them in. When I was happy with the effect, I used a paintbrush and flicked some water all over it, left it a bit and then dabbed off the excess to give a bleached effect in parts. I then stuck it on to the front of one of the cream A6 Deckle Edge cards using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I stamped the Floral Spray image (from Woodware) on to another piece of white Stamping card using Black Gina K Amalgam ink (it can be used for both watercolours or alcohol markers). Merry Christmas - Christmas Bells 7x5in white card -  Day 331 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 331 of my challenge, I have made this simple but stylish Merry Christmas card.... How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Christmas Bells die from Tattered Lace in white card. It really is a lovely die-cut! i then coloured it in using Hunkydory's Prism watercolour pencils - I used yellow and a darker yellow on the bells to give the impression they were gold, various shades of blue for the ribbon and greens for the leaves. When I was happy with the way it looked, I stuck it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection but other companies sell them) using PVA glue. I then attached the Merry Christmas sentiment label tag (from an old collection by Craftwork Cards) using foam pads. Set of 6 mini cards or gift tags birds, butterflies and flowers -  Day 319 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am so pleased with how this set of 6 mini cards/gift tags turned out - I hope you like them too! How I made these cards/gift tags:- All these cards or gift tags have been decorated using toppers made from a set of stamps and matching dies from Vicki Boutin (part of American Crafts). I first of all took 6 mini cards (from Craftwork Cards) and used Creative Expressions Iridescent Shimmer Watercolour paints (Perfect Pastels) to colour a background on each of them.  Whilst leaving them to dry naturally, I then stamped the bird and flower from the set  onto some white stamping card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink as I was going to used alcohol markers. I then coloured them in using various colours trying to co-ordinate them with the backgrounds - such as orange and yellow for the bird, pink and purple for the flower and so on. Once I was happ...

Just to Say ... Thinking of you Poppies square card -  Day 306 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! With Remembrance Sunday fast approaching, I have made this square card featuring hand coloured poppies for day 306 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I used one of Hunkydory's Prism Poppy images from their recent Paper pads and coloured the poppies in using various shades of red alcohol markers - you can use Hunkydory's own or any other brand of course - I still have to try out Copics! Once I was happy (are you ever totally happy with what you do?) with them, I then added a background to it using blue watercolour paints (either Rare Earth, Altenew or even a couple of shades of the Bleeding Arts tissue). Once it had dried, I then added some Green distress inks in the corners (adding a small border to it too). Thank you for your friendship -Poppies square card -  Day 263 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This card (for day 263 of my 365 day challenge) has been made using my watercolour paints and a really pretty image from Prism (Hunkydory).... How I made this card:- I first of all used my mini score board to score the bottom and right hand side of a 6" cream pearlescent card (from Create & Craft) - I did it from the inside of the card so there was a raised surface when looking at the card. I then took one sheet of the poppies from Vol 3 (I think) of Hunkydory's Prism Pad (to go with their alcohol markers) and firstly painted the flowers in red using Altenew's Watercolour paints. Once I had done that, I used a mix of the green paints to paint over the stalks. I used a mix of blues and greens to paint the sky and grass, trying to give the impression of shading. I have SO much to learn but am enjoying learning... I then edged it with a black alcohol ...

Love & hugs blue poppies on distress oxide background square card - Day 260 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 260 of my 365 day challenge is once again using a Poppy image from Hunkydory's Prism pads, their alcohol markers, some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads on a square card from Create & Craft. How I made this card:- I first of all coloured the poppies in using various blue and purple alcohol markers from Hunkydory's new Prism range - must say they colour in beautifully and are great to hold! I then coloured the background in using Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress inks. I also added a border around the topper using a green alcohol marker but didn't like what I had done so trimmed it down and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Using Connect Glue from Gina K (or you can use any PVA glue), I attached it to a piece of Hunkydory's Silver holographic card which was slightly bigger ...
