Pinch Punch - it is now September so am catching up with what has happened in my 366 day challenge! (Day 245) and what else is happening... Hi Craft addicts! So my challenge is now nearly 3/4 of the way through - can't believe that I have actually made so many different items but must say it has been great fun to have had so many different things to work with! From a Post-it note holder which I am going to revise slightly and bring a new version soon to my most recent cards which again will be launching on my website next week - there have been a variety of things to work on. The post-it note holder was one of the first things I made and now that I have got the Brother Scan n Cut I will be able to make a template so that people will be able to make their own or buy the kit from me of course! I will also be doing different sizes too so that all types of notes can be catered for! Another of my most enjoyable projects was making this "Fairy doo...

Create your imagination - Oriental tree shaped card -  Day 243 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is part of a series I am going to be launching on my website in the next couple of days. I have got to design these cards and gifts using both Tattered Lace images that can be found on one of their USB's which are used in conjunction with the Brother ScanNCut and Pinflair's Background Artist series. To make the topper:-  I first of all cut out the white doily shape using a Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) die and backed it on to some Lynda Chapman's Black card and cut round it following the shape loosely. I then cut out a scalloped circle and inked it using some Generation INX ink pads, Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Altenew inks in "Pink" , "Orange" , "Green" and " Yellow" trying to make it look like the sky. For the tree, I went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and took...

Happy birthday - Oriental fan - monochrome -  Day 239 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have once again used the "Oriental" images from Tattered Lace's USB No. 3 to make this simple but stylish birthday card. To make the embellishment and sentimment  -  i first of all took the "Fan" image from the   USB and took it into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and resized it to 17cm x 11cm approximately and cut it out using black cardstock (this is from American Crafts ). I then cut out a " hexagon" shape in white cardstock again in the Scan n Cut this time the size was 5.5cm x 5cm (approx) and then added the "Happy Birthday! to it using some bright blue and silver peel off stickers and the stars etc that are on the same sheet. To make the card up I glued the fan on to a 7" x 5" white card which I used in a landscape format using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I wa...

You are "Pawsome" cool cats Z-fold card -  Day 237 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I wanted to do something fun today and so have used this really cute and fun image from the "Pampered Paws" Little Book of Toppers from Hunkydory along with some die shapes and also a sentiment using my Brother ScanNCut. To make the embellishments - Using my Brother ScanNCut CANVAS , I typed out the words "You are Pawsome" in one go and then divided them all so that each letter was separate. I then moved them to form each word, slightly overlapping them and then welded them and then cut them out. (I made sure that they would fit a 7" square card ). I then cut out the fish bones, food bowl, fish and pawprints several times in black card using the "Pets" dies from the  First Edition (Trimcraft) collection. I also used one sheet of the "two cats" image from the "Pampered Paws" Little Book of Topper...

With Love - elephant calf DL card using Pollyanna Pickering artwork -  Day 236 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts ! I love this image of an elephant calf that Pollyanna Pickering painted and so have used a small tag shape version for this DL card... To make the card - I decided to use the small tag style topper from "Walk in the Wild" card making kit from Pollyanna Pickering (Creative Crafting World). I then cut out the "honeycomb " panel from the "Moroccan Simply Screens" die set from Tonic Studio s in gold mirror card , I left a small border on one side of it but just cut it out of the card as I didn't want 2 borders. I also cut one in black card but only really wanted the "waste" so will use the panel on another project. Using one of the border strips from the kit, I glued it to the left hand edge. Before I glued the "Honeycomb" strip to the right hand side, I measured how big the topper ...

Happy birthday - vintage shoe design 6" card -  day 208 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts I have made this quick and simple tentfold card for today's challenge ( day 208 of 366 ) using a die cut from Tattered Lace and the sentiment is one that I cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut machine. Using the "Lu Lu Shoe" die from Tattered Lace , I cut it out in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's f rom Creative Crafting World) and glued it to a panel which I had taken from the standard templates from the Brother ScanNCut (rounded corner rectangle measuring 9.5x.7.5cm ) and had cut it out in red card. Once that was done, I then added a " Gold and red " frame which I had left over from a Hunkydory kit and glued it to the panel trying to make sure that the shoe was in the middle. I then attached it to the centre of the card using some thick foam pads to give it some height. I then cut out the "Happy Birthday" sentimen...

Good luck with your new baby - Teddy bears - white square card -  Day 207 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So today's challenge is a very simple but cute card suitable for celebrating a new baby's arrival but it could be for a birthday or any other event just by changing the message at the bottom. I first of all cut the teddy bears (which is the " Cuddly Bear" part of the Rococo baby dies from Tonic Studios) in a pale Kraft cardstock and stuck it on to the card at a slightly jaunty angle I then painted the Teddy bear's bow tie using the "Sea Spray" Twinkling H2O's shimmering watercolour paints to add a bit of colour to the die. I also added a couple of small dots to their eyes using a Pigma Micron fineliner pen. Once that was done, I went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and used 2 various fonts to write the "Good luck with your new baby", divided them and then welde...
