Hi Craft addicts! Well you have two for one today! I really love these dies from Dawn Bibby and had great fun making these cards as they are very simple to make. The dies could be cut directly into the front of your card if you want an edger effect but I decided not to do it this way for these cards      I first of all cut both dies out using Lynda Chapman's Black card from Creative Crafting World - you could add some self adhesive sheet to the reverse so you don't have to get glue everywhere.  I then stuck them to the left hand sides of two DL cards using PVA glue, trimming them once the glue had dried to make them fit perfectly. I had allowed a space on the right hand side of the cards and so used two different sentiments from Lisa Horton set (the pre-printed ones not the stamps but you could easily stamp sentiments on to the cards). I then added 3 Nuvo drops at the top and bottom of the card to add some dimension.  So if you think this sounds interesting then...

  Hi Craft addicts So here is another handmade card using Stamps by Me products, this time with Colouring pencils instead of Markers or watercolour paints. I first of all stamped the dog image from the Garden Safari Stamp set 2 out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then coloured it in using Stabilo Colouring pencils and cut around it leaving a white narrow border. I also cut out a scalloped edged circle (various companies do produce this type of die) in brown card I had previously scored the front of a 5" white card using the Hunkydory's Scoreboard three times in .5" increments. I then stuck the circle on to the middle of the card using PVA glue and then placed the dog topper on top of that with foam pads. I used the You Are my Happy Place sentiment from Lisa Horton's Ticker set, added it to some of the brown card, cut around it giving it a wavy edge and placed it at the bottom of the card using foam strips. Hi all you crafty folks out there.... Well, it is another gloomy day here - will be so nice to see some sun soon! But this card I made cheers me up! I took the floral spray wreath (by Stamps by Me) and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. As it is quite a big stamp, I used a stamping platform to do it so if there were any missing bits I could redo it without smudging etc. I decided to use pencils (from Stabilo) to colour it in (not watercolour) and I am really impressed with how they work. I used yellows, oranges and reds for the flowers and a couple of shades of green for the foliage. Once I was happy with the result, I edged the card with a black marker and then stuck it to some green cardstock (this is from Crafter's Companion Textures 12"x12" block). I then used what green ink was left on a dauber to colour the background in - am really pleased with how it turned out as it gives it a vellum/parchment look. The sentiment A New Beginning is ...
