Celebrations - elephants DL shaped card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a different one for me as I was playing with a different shaped card. You need two DL cards which you use with the fold at the top. I first of all scored one of them down the middle of the front of the card using my Hunkydory's Adorable Scoreboard and folded it back on itself. I took two pieces of the wood effect paper (I know various companies sell this in different pads but you could also score it at equal distances using a scoreboard and then used Distress Oxide inks in different shades of brown to create the same effect). I used some Fired Brick Distress Oxide and edged the paper and then glued it to the back of the card with some PVA glue. I used the Swirling Elephants stamps from a collection from Gemini's range from Crafters Companion and stamped them at either end of the card.  I then coloured them in with a grey Spectrum Noir Tri-blend marker. Birthday wishes... Giraffes in silhouette on hand coloured background - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card is a slightly different one today - I hope you like it... I masked off a panel of white card measuring about 5" x 3" using purple tape and used the blue and purple Himi Silk Crayons to create the background - you just scribble the colour on where you want and then used a paintbrush to blend them in until you have the desired effect.  Once it was dry I added some of the white crayon to add a bit of cloud to it. I used the Safari stencil from Creative Expressions, masking off the rows I didn't want to use and coloured through it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I rounded the edge of the panel using the Prism Hunkydory punch and did the same to the large panel of blue card. I edged the white panel with a black alcohol marker and stuck it to the blue card with PVA glue and then glued the whole thing to a 7" x 5" white card which I used as a tent fold style.
