  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one made using some dies, stamps and watercolour paints. I used the Floral Spray die from Stamps by Me and cut it out in Lynda Chapman's Black card which I had backed with Wild Spider Self Adhesive paper (but Creative Expressions do some too). I removed the backing sheet and placed it on to some white card burnishing it so that it was well stuck down. I then used some watercolour paints (Himi from Stamps by Me) to colour the flowers in and let it dry. I also coloured the sky in using blue watercolour paints. I trimmed it and stuck it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card (the corners of which I had rounded using a Hunkydory punch from their Prism range. I then used the Just Saying Hello sentiment stamp and added it to the bottom of the card (I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink). Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card would be great to send to a friend that you haven't seen for ages! I used my Prism punch to round the corners of a 7" x 5" white card and then scored it twice on each side to give it a decorative feature. I then stamped out the Floral Bubbles (fish and flowers) on to some white smooth cardstock and coloured it in using Be Creative Twilights watercolour paints until I was fairly happy with the result. I rounded the corners of that too and then coloured the border with a black alcohol marker. I had created a background some time ago using a variety of alcohol inks and decided to use it for the mat layer and so attached the stamp topper on to it with some PVA glue. I then added that to the front of the card again with PVA glue. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card was a surprise to me as I wasn't too sure how it would turn out but am pleased with the result. I still have some of Create & Craft's black pearlescent 7" x 5" cards and thought I better use them up and so rounded the corners with a Prism punch from Hunkydory and then used their scoreboard to score 3 lines towards the bottom of the card. I stamped the bird on a branch image (from Stamps By Me It's All About You range) on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - as it is a Hybrid ink it means I can use it for either watercolour or alcohol paints or inks. I then had some watercolour paints left in my palette (gosh that sounds pretentious) from other projects. They were a mix of Be Creative's Metallic Gold Twilights for its' head and some brown and green watercolour paints from a variety of sources for the branches and leaves. Love and clouds Valentine's Day card Hi Craft addicts! Well what a glorious day it is today and so I thought I would share this card with you! How I made this card:- I first of all created the background using Gansai Tambi watercolour paints - I really like these as they create an opaque effect. I then used the Lawn Fawn Cloud (Landscape die)  and placed it over the card and cut it out (it is an A2 die and can be obtained from Bumbleberry Crafts here in the UK). I edged it with a Black alcohol marker (any with a chisel tip will do). I took a piece of Vellum/Parchment which was slightly longer than the panel and cut it into a strip with a wavy edge. I used Gina K Black Amalgam ink and stamped the Love sentiment and heart on to it (placing the panel behind it so I made sure it was in the right place) and used my heat gun to dry it off a bit. Love - heart on hand coloured background with trellis background Valentines Day card Hi Craft addicts! Well Valentine's Day is only a couple of weeks away and so I have made this quick and easy card that is slightly different as there is NO red on it! How I made this card:- I first of all went into Brother's Canvas Workspace and used the heart in a ring design (it isn't one of their standard designs) and cut it out in white card. I also painted the background using a variety of Green Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and let it dry. I then cut it out using a square die (from Tattered Lace) and stuck the heart on to it using Pinflair Bookbinding glue. I then used the A5 Trellis die from Honeydoo Crafts and cut it out in Black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and glued it to the front of an 7x5in white card. I attached the heart panel to the centre of the card and then stamped the Heart sentiment in the middle of the heart using the word ...

Thanks for everything... swans and cygnets on hand coloured background 5x7in cream card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I made using Tattered Lace dies, some stamps and watercolour paints. How I made this card:- I took a piece of white stamping card (you could also use watercolour card) and painted it using various shades of blue watercolour paints with the lighter blues towards the top half. I tried to blend them in so you can see the difference between the sky and the water. I then used some darker paint (black or dark purple) to create the skyline in the middle of it. Once it was all dry, I then used a white gel pen to create the waves under the land and some to the sky to give the impression of whispy clouds. I then took some white Brilliance ink from the pad, smooshed it on a glass mat, added some water to it and then used a paintbrush to splash some on to the top part of the panel to create stars! New Baby silhouette of Tigger on hand coloured background card Hi Craft addicts! I made this card to give to someone who had just had a baby and what can be better than excitable Tigger on a hand coloured background with stamps from Bert n Gert and dies from Tattered Lace. How I made this card:- To make the background, I first of all cut out the Tree in silhouette die (from Tattered Lace) in black card. I then used some white stamping card (or you could use watercolour card if you want a more textured effect) and painted it with orange, yellow, pink and red paints, blending them in to create a sunset. Once it was dry, I placed the tree silhouette over it, stuck it on using PVA glue and trimmed it to fit (I also edged it with black so you couldn't see any white card). I then die cut out the Tigger figure out in an orange card, and then placed it on some black so you can see the stripes through it.  I also used some alcohol markers to create shading on him. Happy Birthday...Leaf in silhouette on hand coloured tag A6/A2 card Hi Craft addicts! Nearly the Bank Holiday weekend and so I have made this quick and easy Birthday Card using a Stamps by Me die and some stamps (along with a hand painted tag)... How I made this card:- The base card is an A6 (A2 in the US) which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... I had coloured the tag (it is a medium sized cream one) using orange, yellow, green and red water colour paints and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening, I cut a panel of blue card, 4.5" x 5.5" (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) to fit the front of the card and embossed it with the Skinny Woodgrain Embossing Folder from Creative Expressions. When the tag was dry, I place the leafy foliage die from the latest Stamps by Me collection and cut it out in the centre. I will use the actual die cut in a later project as I wanted to use the "waste" cut...

Sending Lots of love... dragonfly on wood effect background  A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card is one I made using a background coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons, a Paper Boutique Dragonfly die and some backing papers from Hunkydory.. How I made this card:- I had painted a background using Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Pearl Colours paints along with some Creative Expressions Iridescent Shimmering Watercolour (Perfect Pearls) paints. Once it was dry, I cut out the Dragonfly wings and body (from The Paper Boutique's Dragonflies and a Bee set) and then the body out from some black self adhesive paper and attached the latter to the former (if that makes sense). I had also coloured a background out on some white Yupo paper using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and I cut out a circle from it using a Tattered Lace Die.
