Smile - Abstract tulips DL card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using a mix of Stamps by Me dies and stamps. I cut out the film strip die (from the Smile for the Camera Stamps by Me collection) in green linen effect card (both American Crafts and Crafter's Companion - amongst others do this type of card). I then attached it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card with PVA glue and trimmed it to fit. Using PVA glue, I stuck it to the middle of a white DL card. The tulips are created using the Abstract Tulips stencils and die set from Stamps by Me and I followed the instructions using the same purple colour (Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink) for the flowers and the Safari Green Nuvo Hybrid inks for the leaves and stems. I cut it out and attached it to the film strip with foam pads (strips) to give it some height.
