Have a magical day... Unicorns and rainbow A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a cute A6 card using Unicorns as the theme... The background papers are dual toned papers from Hunkydory so cut a panel of the lavender to fit the front of an A6 white card and then a smaller one in the lavender and white striped paper and stuck them to each other and then made a smaller panel of the same papers and attached it to the left hand side of the panel. I then glued the whole thing to the card with some PVA glue. Using the two unicorn stamps, butterfly and rainbow from the Twirling Unicorns stamp and die set from the Gemini range from Crafter's Companion and stamped them out on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then added the sentiment to the bottom of the image. I coloured them in using Triblend alcohol markers again from Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir range and then added some Blue China Distress Oxide Inks to give it some background. I rounded the corners using m...

Happy Holidays... children with sandcastle square card -  Day 295 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is a bright and cheerful card celebrating summer holiday time - made with one die and some backing papers. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat and layer using 2 Tattered Lace Square nesting dies - the paper is from Hunkydory's Splendid Spots paper pad - you need 2 pieces as the 2 dies don't quite fit (the paper is double sided so you need to reverse one of them to get the stitched effect on both). I then used a tape pen to attach the smaller layer to the larger one (I had used glue on one before but the glue showed through).  Using white card, I then cut out the sandcastle die (again from Tattered Lace) and coloured it in using Chameleon pencils. I decided to use them rather than paints as it was easier for me to use them. I attached it to the front of the 6" white pearlescent card using PVA glue....

Flying kites to make you smile C6 white card -  Day 127 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card has been made using Hunkydory products, Tim Holtz Distress inks and Altenew inks on a C6 white linen effect card. How I made this card:- I first of all coloured the edges of a C6 white linen effect card with blue ink (what was left once again on my sponge dauber). I then cut a piece of the blue and white striped paper (from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps Splendid Stripes 8" paper pad) to fit the card leaving a narrow border at the top and bottom and coloured the edges with a blue alcohol marker. I took some Rare Earth stamping card and coloured the background in using Green (Parrot and Bamboo Altenew Ink cubes from Altenew) and Blue for the sky (Tim Holtz distress inks and Altenew again). I used the Let us Fly a Kite stamp set from For the Love of Stamps and stamped the tree twice - using Green for the tree and Rusty Hinge Tim Holtz ink for ...

Love Valentine's Day DL Kraft card -  Day 40 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 40 of my 365 day challenge) is a DL Kraft card decorated with heart papers from Hunkydory - very simple to make but lovely to look at... How I made this card:- I first of all cut two panels (slightly smaller than the DL card) of the Heart paper (Monochrome Perfect Stamping paper pad from Hunkydory) - this is one sheet of paper as it is double sided) so cut the darker panel and then the smaller one out of the lighter side. I used some alcohol markers to highlight some of the hearts to add a bit of colour to the monochrome effect (red, yellow and orange). I then stuck the smaller one on top of the larger one and glued that to the centre of the DL Kraft card. I also cut out the LOVE sentiment (from Tonic Studios) twice, once in white card, the other in red and slightly offset that one on top of the white one. I then glued it to the right hand bot...
