Have a Quacking Christmas 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a Christmas card for my 365 day challenge...I hope you like it. Using my Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard, I scored two lines down the left hand side and 6 lines at the bottom of the card to add some interest to the card as I wanted this card to be predominately white. I had used a scalloped edge die to cut out the circle and then used the waste of a smaller circle die cut to ink through it using yellows and orange hybrid inks to create the sun. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to colour the sky in and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. The Snowman and Goose along with the sentiment are from For the Love of Stamps and Crafter's Companion Gemini stamp collections and I stamped them on to some scraps of white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured them in using Spectrum Noir Triblender markers. I fussy cut around them all, colouring the sentiment topper with a lighter shade of the sun and stuck that d...

You are my Happy Place... cute dog on square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts So here is another handmade card using Stamps by Me products, this time with Colouring pencils instead of Markers or watercolour paints. I first of all stamped the dog image from the Garden Safari Stamp set 2 out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then coloured it in using Stabilo Colouring pencils and cut around it leaving a white narrow border. I also cut out a scalloped edged circle (various companies do produce this type of die) in brown card I had previously scored the front of a 5" white card using the Hunkydory's Scoreboard three times in .5" increments. I then stuck the circle on to the middle of the card using PVA glue and then placed the dog topper on top of that with foam pads. I used the You Are my Happy Place sentiment from Lisa Horton's Ticker set, added it to some of the brown card, cut around it giving it a wavy edge and placed it at the bottom of the card using foam strips. Finally, I added some Blushi...

Best wishes Pup with lead C6 white linen effect card -  Day 107 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (for day 107 of my 365 day challenge) is one using a cute Puppy and Best Wishes Sentiment die cuts from Tattered Lace. How I made this card: - I first of all scored the bottom third of a C6 white linen effect card using a score board and then stroked some brown and distress inks directly on to the paper using mini ink cubes. I then cut out the puppy out of some white card and placed it on to some black so it looked like a Dalmatian and trimmed it so you couldn't see any of the black. I cut out two circles - one Gold and one Kraft using slightly different sizes of Tattered Lace dies and stuck the smaller of the two on top of the larger one. I then glued the Dalmatian puppy using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I also die-cut the Best Wishes Sentiment panel out of white card and used a brush to add a splash of green colour to the flowers. I used a Ta...
