Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using dies and stamps.... I decided to try a different way of using the Shabby Edge rectangle die from Tattered Lace and cut it out in a caramel coloured cardstock. I then used the Creative Expressions Slimline collection - Inner Scalloped Rectangle aperture trio die and cut out the three apertures in the card. I used the complimentary Outer Scalloped edge die and used it to cut a piece of white card. To create the striped background, I used the left over waste die cuts from a Lisa Horton die and coloured through it with various pastel hybrid inks - from Tim Holtz Distress Oxide to Aladine Izink ink cubes. I then attached it to the back of the caramel card using PVA glue and then added the white aperture frame on top of them both. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge was a fun one to make and again didn't have a die in sight! I used a DL card for this design and used a Hunkydory Prism punch to create the inverted edge to the corners. I cut a strip of white card measuring the length of the DL card and approximately 1.5" inw width and coloured it using Solent Green (Nuvo), Salty Ocean (Tim Holtx Distress Oxide) and a Yellow ink pad from Aladine Izinks. Once I was happy with the blending, I stamped the balloons image (from the Birthday Bears Box stamp and die set from Crafter's Companion Gemini range) three times, starting with the middle and then the top and bottom. I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink to do this as it is a hybrid ink and so can be used with either watercolours or alcohol inks.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this DL card using a variety of Companies dies and papers. I decided to add a variety of coloured cardstock to some self adhesive paper to see what sort of effects I could create so first of all added strips of Purple, Green (both light and dark) and Yellow to it after removing the backing sheet. Once I was happy with it, I took the Slimline Starry Background die (designed by Sue Wilson) and placed it over the card and cut it out. I then removed all of the stars, removed the second backing sheet and stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's black card. I also cut out the Decorative Rectangle Aperture die (again designed by Sue Wilson) and trimmed it so that it was slightly larger than the starry design and then glued them together, making sure that there was a narrow black border around it. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one I made for my 365 day challenge using some dies and Distress Oxide inks... I first of all used a Kit n Caboodle corner punch and used the "stepped" design on each corner of a white DL card. I cut out the Bubbles layer of the card using the Creative Expressions Slimline die using Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock, keeping some of the waste to add it to it later. I then used the die itself as a stencil and used a sponge dauber to colour a piece of white card with Distress Oxide/Hybrid inks in green and blue shades. Once I was happy with how it turned out, I stuck the black layer to it leaving a small white edge to some of the bubbles. I used PVA glue but I could have added the card to some self adhesive sheet and stuck it down that way. I then coloured a small rectangle of white card with the same inks, trimming it with a guillotine so it allowed me to add the "On Your Birthday" sentiment to it using a tape pe...

   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a DL card using stamps and a single die (and a punch).... I first of all stamped out the Orchids in Bloom stamp from Creative Expressions Designer Boutique range using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink on white card. I coloured the flowers and leaves in using the FSC Stabilo crayons trying to leave some white space within the design. Once I was happy with the outcome, I used an oval die (any will do) to cut it out and edged it with a Blue alcohol marker. I then stuck it to the front of a DL (the corners of which I had rounded using the Prism punch - from Hunkydory) using a tape pen as sometimes it comes through to the inside of the card when using a PVA glue - but that is probably because I use too much.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a DL card using watercolour paints and a rubber stamp. I took a panel of white cardstock approximately 1.5" smaller than the front of a DL card and painted it with Be Creative Metallic watercolour paints to create a landscape background - green shades for the bottom half and blue ones for the sky. I then let it dry for a bit and took the family scene rubber stamp from Creative Expressions Designer Boutique collection, inked it with some of Gina K's Obsidian Black ink and placed the cardstock directly on top of it rather than putting it first on an acrylic block. As it wasn't totally covered I used a Black Alcohol marker to fill some of it in. I then rounded the corners of the panel and stuck it with a tape pen to some blue cardstock which has a linen effect on one side - Crafter's Companion, American Crafts. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is using just stamps and Distress Oxide inks. I used a panel of white stamping card and coloured it in using a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks such as Broken China, Salty Ocean and Speckled Egg and tried to give it an ombre effect. Once I was happy with it, I spritzed it with some water and dabbed some of it off with some kitchen roll to make them look like clouds. I then took the Skyline Silhouette rubber stamp - it is called Bucket List from Creative Expressions and inked it with Gina K Obsidian black ink. Rather than stamping it downwards, I placed the background onto my desk and pressed the stamp directly on to it, I know it doesn't give a totally crisp image this way but I quite like the effect. I then repeated the process with the Sky's the Limit sentiment stamp. Finally, I fussy cut around it giving it a wavy edge and stuck it to the front of a DL white card using PVA glue. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is an quick and easy card using just stamps and some inks.... I first of all took a white DL card and rounded the corners using my Prism (from Hunkydory) punch. I then measured a piece of white super smooth stamping card so that it would fit about 3/4 of the front of the card. I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks from Speckled Egg to Salty Ocean and created the background, trying to make it lighter at the top.  I then spritzed it with some water to lighten parts of it and let it dry. Once it was dry, I took the Treasures of the Sea Rubber Stamp from a collection of silhouette stamps by Creative Expressions Designer Boutique range and inked it up with Gina K Obsidian Black ink and stamped it on to the background, making sure that it was all inked properly. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun DL card using stamps and a pre printed sentiment... I created the background using Cosmic Shimmer Neon polishes (Pink, Yellow and Red) which I did by adding some of the polish on to a glass mat and watered it down a bit so they became more of a wash and painted them on blending them in to create an ombre effect. Whilst it was drying, I cut out a panel of black card using the Creative Expression Slimline Collection - Stitched Oval aperture trio die which cut within the card so if you want to use the panel itself you could cut it out to fit first. To make sure the ovals were in the right place on the background, I used the panel I had cut out, placed it over and added a dot in the middle of each of the ovals so I knew where to add them. I then stuck them to the card with PVA glue and added it to a panel of black card which is slightly bigger (I had rounded the corners with the Hunkydory's...
