Hello - You're Bee-utiful Bees and Flowers card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Bee themed square card using the Bee-youtiful collection in the Nature's Garden set from Crafter's Companion. I used the Bees and Flowers Mini embossing folder from the collection and cut a strip of card that I had previously created a background on and embossed it. I then used some Obsidian Black ink from Gina K and brushed the ink pad over the embossed area a couple of times so that the embossed area is highlighted. I trimmed it to approximately 4.5" and 1.5" wide and stuck it with a tape pen to a strip of Lynda Chapman's black cardstock and trimmed that so that it fitted the left hand side of a 5" white card.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is A6 and has been made using dies, stamps and colouring materials. I cut out the largest panel (Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles Mini Slimline Die) in Lynda Chapman's Black card first of all. I cleaned the die so that there was no ink left on it. I then cut out the sentiment panel dies which are from the Tags collection from Carnation Crafts - the layering panel in white and coloured it in to match the main background, then the ornate part in Lynda Chapman's Black card and the sentiment panel in white. I then used a dotty pen (from Crafter's Companion) to attach the ornate panel to the back layer and then a normal tape pen to attach the white panel. The sentiment, ...

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's card could be a slider card but I have made it as a "flat" design. I first of all stamped out the coconut tree twice on to white stamping card (from the Go Bananas Slider stamp and die set from Crafter's Companion), making sure that it had enough room in between them for the foliage. I then stamped the leaves so they looked attached to the trees. I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink for this as it is good for either watercolours or alcohol inks. I used a couple of green shades Spectrum Noir Triblend markers to colour the leaves of the trees and the grass, trying to blend them so that you can see some shading. I then used a couple of their brown Triblend markers to colour the trunks and nuts, blending the colours in to give it some dimension. I used one of the darker green markers to colour the foliage in. I also stamped the sentiment from the same collection directly on to the panel just under the foliage. I also used the brown markers t...
