Woven with Love 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 285 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a simple but stylish card (for day 285 of my challenge) using just a couple of dies from the Hallowe'en collection from Paper Boutique. How I made this card:- I decided that I wanted to use just 2 colours - black and yellow as I think they really work well together. So I first of all cut out the main mat out from the Woven with Love die set (from Lynda Chapman's Paper Boutique collections) using yellow card from Create & Craft's Core Collection. I then cut out the web layer using the die this time in black card (again Lynda Chapman's - this time from their World of Paper range) and stuck it on top of the yellow mat using PVA glue. Using the same cardstock, (this time reversing the colours), I cut out the Woven with Love mat and layer and glued them together again using PVA glue. Have a purrfect day...cute cat on square card -  Day 262 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a fun and cheerful card that I made out of a happy accident - day 262 of my challenge already!  How I made this card:- I had had this card from Hunkydory (I think) for ages and thought I should use it so I misted various colours over it from Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (Tone on Tone Orange,Yellow and Pink). Once I was happy with the effect, I then realised that though I had wanted the inks to go through to the back, it had smudged in a couple of places so rather than throwing it away decided to use the front as a background for another card. I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue to attach it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card from Create & Craft's Core range. Elephant in silhouette - have a wild time 7in white card -  Day 129 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This is a card made from a beautiful Craftwork Cards topper along with stamps from the For the Love of Stamps range by Hunkydory and some coordinating card from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper. How I made this card:- I first of all took the zebra, lion, giraffe stamps from the Safari Adventure set from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and stamped them all around the edges of a 7in square card. I used various inks from the Dinky Inkies Sparkle range and used a water brush to colour them in. I then cut two pieces of coordinating brown and chocolate cardstock from Lynda Chapman's World of paper each slightly smaller than the other . I used the Have a Wild Time stamp and stamped it around the edge of the darker brown card using Versamagic ink so it gave a watermark effect. Life is good with you around - fairy and ferns 7x5in card -  Day 123 of my 365 day challenge                              Hello Craft addicts! Today's card (day 123 of my 365 day challenge) is one using Tattered Lace Minx (or Trixie) Fairy die, one of the Forest Pines Fern dies and a sentiment from For The Love of Stamps. How I made this card:- I cut a piece of chocolate brown card just a bit smaller than the white 7x5in hammered card and edged it with a darker brown alcohol marker. I then stuck it to the front of the card using a tape pen. I cut out the Fairy die (it could be either Trixie or Minx) in white card and stuck it to the left hand side of the card. I then cut out the Ferns again in white card and stuck parts of it on the right hand side (I left some of the fronds unstuck so it gave it some dimension. On Your Special Day Cats in a window silhouette 7x5in card -  Day 120 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 120 of my 365 day challenge is one that I have made using a Tonic Studios die, some background papers from Craftwork Cards and a sentiment. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the cats silhouette die from Tonic Studios (the blinds part of it needs to be cut out twice) - I cut it out in white and black card. I then stuck it to another sheet of white card and coloured the frame using a brown alcohol marker. I put a few drops of a Dreamees Pearl re-inker in a palette and coloured in the background, trying to make it darker at the bottom. I used a piece of the brick style paper from the Man Made Collection by Craftwork cards and inked it with some Rusty Hinge Tim Holtz Distress inks and placed in on a layer of Chocolate brown cardstock (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper), leaving a wide border around each. Friendship card with cute mice and flowers 7x5in white card -  Day 79 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (day 79 of my 365 day challenge) is a really fun card using stamps from Hunkydory and a background I created in my Brother Scan n Cut. How I made this card:- I have been wanting to try this effect for some time and so went into Brother Scan n Cut's web app CANVAS and designed the background - first of all creating a rectangle and then added some circles in different sizes, grouped them together and subtracted them so they were cut out. - you could also use different sized dies to do the same thing. I cut 2 lots out, one in a cream colour, the other in a chocolate brown card stock (I used American Crafts as it has a linen effect texture on the front). There is an external frame left over when I cut it out so glued that on to the front of a 7x5in white card and then placed the cream panel over it making sure that the holes were in the right...
