Christmas 2021 - Brrr.... 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Christmas card themed one using dies, stamps and alcohol markers. I rounded the corners of an A6 Kraft card (from Tonic Studios) using my Hunkydory punch. I then took a piece of white card, cut it to fit the front of the card and also rounded the corners of that too and attached it using a solid Tape pen (either Create & Craft or Crafter's Companion). I cut out the oval frame using Spellbinders Oval Petit Picot edged die in both the brown Metallink card (from Paper Dienamics) without the centre die and then again in white card, this time adding it so that I could use it to stamp on. I stamped the Snowman image (part of Crafter's Companion Wobblers collection) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using alcohol markers. I then used some residue ink left on my blending brushes to colour its' background and then stuck it to the oval frame using the tape pen. I decided to attach it to one...

Merry Christmas Snowmen skating square Christmas card

Merry Christmas Snowmen skating square Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Here is a fun card I made using stamps and dies.... How I made this project:- This is a 6" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World. I have found a love of all things Tartan and so cut a panel of this dark purple Tartan to fit the front of the card leaving a narrow border all around and attached it using PVA glue (such as Pinflair's Bookbinding or Cosmic Shimmer). I then cut out the largest panel Holly frame die from Sweet Dixie in white card (you will need an A4 cutting machine to do this (such as the Cut n Boss or Gemini). I put it in to my 8" Rare Earth Load and Fold, taped it down with some low tack tape and stamped the Skating Snowmen (from Woodware Stamps) onto it using Gina K Black Amalgam ink.  I coloured the Snowmen in (just the edges) with a couple of sha...

Fun Snowmen With Love at Christmas DL card -  Day 354 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Another Snowman card for day 354 of my challenge - this time a fun DL card using stamps and alcohol markers! How I made this card :- I first of all stamped the snowman image out on to some white stamping card - the stamp is from Woodware. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to do this as I was going to use alcohol markers. I then coloured them in using orange, yellow, blue, turquoise and grey - trying to tone them in to give some dimension. I then trimmed it to fit a panel of copper paper which would fit a DL white card and attached them both using PVA glue. I glued them both to the front of the card again using PVA glue, leaving a narrow border around it. I then stamped the pennant frame out using the Tuxedo Black ink and then stamped the With Love at Christmas sentiment in the centre of it.  I cut around the frame leaving a narrow border and attached it to ...

Two for Tuesday small Christmas cards -  Day 338 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today I have made TwoFerTuesday 😀😃 using Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and DoCrafts dies. These are for day 338 of my 365 day challenge... How I made these cards:- Card One... (Christmas Bells)  This card is very simple to make - I first of all cut out the Bells die (from DoCrafts Xcut)  in black card and stuck it on to some dark teal card. Once it was dry, I trimmed around it - just under the black card so that no teal was showing outside. I then used a PVA glue and stuck it to the front of a white 4" card. There is no sentiment on this but I will add one later on.. Card Two.... (Snowman skating) I then painted some white stamping card with various blue shades of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and left it to dry. Once it was, I used the middle mat die from the Verona collection by Tattered Lace and cut it out as I thought it was a really ...

Merry Christmas - Snow-woman square card -  Day 337 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This is a handmade stamped Christmas card coloured using alcohol markers. How I made this card :- I first of all stamped the lady snowman (from Sweet Dixie) out on to white stamping card using Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured the image in using a variety of alcohol markers, also adding a little bit of grey to just beneath the snow line to give it grounding. Taking a pink alcohol marker, I then edged the panel using the chisel point. I had had this blue and white pennant border strip for some time and so cut it into two and placed both ends in the middle of a 5" white card and glued it in using a tape pen. I then stuck the topper on to that using PVA glue. Finally, I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment in the middle of the card (at the bottom) using Toffee Versafine ink. And there you are -   A quick and easy card that is fun to make and great to give... ...

Cute Snowmen on 2 handstamped 4in cards -  Day 332 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making these cards using stamps and alcohol markers - they are small cards so could be used as tags too! How I made these cards:- Card One (left) I have had the oval mats and layers from Hunkydory for ages and thought I need to use them up so used a medium sized one for the card on the left. I stamped the skating snowman out on to the white INK me oval card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trying to make sure it was in the middle. I coloured it in using Orange, Red and a cool Grey alcohol markers (any will do but I used Prism markers from Hunkydory). I then attached it to the Gold layer using a tape pen, again trying to make sure it was centred. I also added some blue and green dye based inks to create a background. I have painted the background using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints (blue shades painted horizontally) and then cut it out using a T...

Mini Christmas cards or gift tags for  Day 325 of my 365 day challenge  Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 325 of my 365 day challenge is a set of 6 mini Christmas cards or they can be used as gift tags.... How I made these cards:- I first of all coloured the fronts of 6 mini cards (3in) which came from Craftwork Cards but you could easily make your own. I used what ink was left on my sponge daubers (blue, green and yellow). I then added 6 peel off stickers on to some white card (from Craft Creations) and using some alcohol markers, coloured them in with reds, blues, and browns etc. Once I was happy with the effects, I then cut round them all leaving a narrow border them. I coloured the edges with gold and brown alcohol markers and placed them onto each card using either PVA glue or a tape pen. I then used 3 sentiments from Apple Blossom's Season's Greetings Banner sentiments stamp set. I used a mix of Tuxedo Black Memento ink as well as To...

Snowman  scene 6" stamp shaped Christmas Card -  Day 351 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 351 of my 366 day challenge and I have made this 6" Stamp shaped Christmas card using a "Snowman" topper from Hunkydory along with the card which is again from Hunkydory. How I made this card:- I first of all folded this 6" "Stamp" shaped card and took out the spare parts in the crease. I then removed the central aperture panel as I would be using it later. I stamped the front of the card using a "flower" stamp (I think from Tattered Lace) using a "Blue" dye based ink mini pad (from DoCrafts Papermania) - 2nd and 3rd generation the flower to give it a different effect. I then took one of the "Snowman" topper sheets from Hunkydory's "Sparkling Season" Little Book of Toppers and cut it out using Tonic Studios' "Threaded Scallop Square" die making sure that it fitted the ape...

Snowmen (2) 5" x 7" white Christmas cards -  Day 342 of my 366 Day Challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made 2 different cards using peel off stickers, some inks and some backing papers from Tonic Studios and Craftwork Cards...and I hope you can see that peel off stickers can be fun to use and not childlike at all! How I made these cards:- Card 1 - Snowman on Sledge I used the "Snowman on sledge" Peel off sticker (black outline) which comes in a set of 3 designs on one sheet from Craft Creations  and placed it on to a pre-cut white deckle edged panel (again from Craft Creations ) making sure that there was enough room to make a snow scene.      I then covered the outline with some card which I had torn to give it a rough edge and coloured the sky area using various inks - especially "Bahama Blue" Memento ink and the "Blue - B01" from Generation INX. The sticker sheet also comes with some "snowf...
