Hi Craft addicts!   Today's latest handmade card is a fun Birthday card with a Steampunk Dog theme using dies, Pixie powders and stamps...   I created the background using a mix of various "Pixie Powders" - from Cosmic Shimmer and Pretty Gets Gritty. I love the way you never know what effect you will get once they have been added to the Yupo paper and then sprinkled with water.  I attached it to some black card with PVA glue and trimmed it so there was a narrow border around it and glued it to the front of a 7x5in landscape white card (from Paper Boutique by Creative Crafting World). I also rounded the corners using the Prism (Hunkydory) Corner punch. Whilst it dried, I cut the Steampunk Dog and his hat (Dawn Bibby's Mechanical Menagerie Darwin the Dog die set) out of Lynda Chapman's Black Card which, as the dies are quite intricate, I had added some Wild Spider self adhesive sheet to the back. Hi Craft addicts! Well you have two for one today! I really love these dies from Dawn Bibby and had great fun making these cards as they are very simple to make. The dies could be cut directly into the front of your card if you want an edger effect but I decided not to do it this way for these cards      I first of all cut both dies out using Lynda Chapman's Black card from Creative Crafting World - you could add some self adhesive sheet to the reverse so you don't have to get glue everywhere.  I then stuck them to the left hand sides of two DL cards using PVA glue, trimming them once the glue had dried to make them fit perfectly. I had allowed a space on the right hand side of the cards and so used two different sentiments from Lisa Horton set (the pre-printed ones not the stamps but you could easily stamp sentiments on to the cards). Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one using Stamps by Me products for my 365 day challenge. I had cut out a circle in a piece of card for another project and decided to use it as  a mask to colour another piece of white card using some "grungy" colour ink pads (Mainly Tim Holtz) I then stamped the Rose and pocket watch image (from a Stamps by Me collection) on top of the the ink using Gina K Black Obsidiain ink. I used Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Tints (Orange and yellow) as paints to colour the stamped image.  I trimmed a piece of the wood effect Stamps by Me paper pad I had to fit the front of a 7x5" white card (leaving a narrow border all around). Using the same Crystal Tints I coloured the card that had the circle aperture in it until I was happy with the result. Season's Greetings - Industrial Chic Steampunk Santa and sleigh Christmas card -  Day 327 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 327 of my challenge is a Steampunk themed Christmas card featuring Santa on a motorised sleigh! How I made this card:- I first of all used Kuretake Gambai Tansi watercolour paints to create the background - I wanted it to look mysterious so used purples, greens, blues and yellows to create the atmosphere. I cut out the Art Deco frame (using a Tattered Lace die) and having trimmed the background to fit, stuck it to the centre of the frame using PVA glue. I then cut out the Industrial Chic Santa and Sleigh (from Creative Expressions) in black card, and stuck it to the panel again using PVA glue. Make a Wish... Steampunk owl in silhouette on Mirri A6 card -  Day 234 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I really love this Steampunk Owl die from Tattered Lace and thought I would make another card using it and some Gold Mirri Card as a background - and here it is... How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Steampunk Owl from Tattered Lace using Lynda Chapman's black card and made sure all the pieces had been removed. I then added it to a panel of brushed/matte gold Mirri card (measuring 70x140mm approx) using Midas Touch Sticky dots. When I was happy with it, I added some yellow alcohol marker to alternate feathers. I scored two lines at the top and bottom of an A6 white linen effect card using my Tattered Lace Mini score board and added 2 lines of narrow red liner tape and then added some silver holographic foil to it and burnished it down. Together... silver Mirri steampunk cogs hand coloured C6 window aperture card - Day 208 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a quick and easy one (as it is the weekend and it is slightly cooler today) using Tattered Lace dies, heat embossing and Craftwork Cards Candi... How I made this card.... I first of all cut a piece of Kraft card to fit inside an C6 white round aperture card and glued it to the back of the front of the card (if that makes sense). I then stuck the flap to the front of the card making sure it was the right way using a mix of finger lift tape and a wet glue. I cut out the Steampunk cogs out of silver Mirri card (they are Tattered Lace dies) and coloured them using Pink, Purple, Blue and Green alcohol markers. I left them to dry as I didn't want to smudge them. I attached them to the front of the card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue . Birthday wishes - steampunk background 7in square card -  Day 130 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! This project was fun doing as I was experimenting with using inks through a mask, embossing through it and other fun things! How I made this card:- I used a piece of  6" white stamping card (from Rare Earth) and attached the mask (Mechanical from That Special Touch) to it using some removable glue dots. I added the colour through it using Dreamees Sparkle inks, blending the different colours (green, pink and orange) in various places. The edges were also coloured and trimmed it so there was just a narrow border all around. Once I was happy with the effect, I carefully removed the stencil. I took a coordinating piece of green card (smooth side) and embossed through it (with Versamagic ink) using the Key to My Heart For The Love of Mask stencil and adding Seafoam White embossing powder. Owl steampunk style 7x5in with love card -  Day 9 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 9) is this steampunk style owl themed 7" x 5" card which I have made using up some Graphic 45 papers. How I made this card:- Graphic 45 produced this beautiful owl image some time ago and I had one bit of the paper left so I cut this bit out using a Tattered Lace die. I also cut out the brown cardstock using another Tattered Lace die but felt that it needed some definition so I placed it on some white card and cut a layer allowing for a very narrow border. I edged both with some brown alchohol marker too. | embossed the 7" x 5" inch card at the top and bottom (every half an inch) leaving a space in the middle. The larger panel is pre embossed from Craftwork Cards (A Man's World series) and so I used various brown distress/pigment inks (from Tim Holtz/DoCrafts) to make it look a bark-like and cut it to fit using another ...
