Congratulations - Sunflowers and butterfly square card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is one I have made using the Sunflower shaped Lisa Horton Die, some alcohol markers and stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the Lisa Horton's Broken Tiles (Sunny Days) die set in black card and then the backing mat layer (which cuts out solid) in white and glued them together using PVA glue. Once it was dry, I then coloured the flowers in with Orange and Yellow alcohol markers blending them in. I found the waste backing sheet from a Butterfly (from Paper Boutique) I had cut out some time ago and thought it would make a good addition to this card so glued it to the bottom left hand side of the topper again with PVA glue. I attached the whole thing to the front of a 5" white card using PVA glue and added some Black Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios. Finally, I used the Congratulations sentiment stamp from a For the Love of Stamps set and stamped it using the Orange Ha...

Congratulations space themed personalised square card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I made for a friend of my daughter and as she has now got it I can show how I made it.... How I made this card:- I first of all used shades of blue Kuretake's Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create the background on some white stamping card (or you could use watercolour card if you want a textured finish) and left it to dry naturally. To prevent it curling, I taped it down on to a glass mat and let it dry there... I then used the Planets circle die from Paper Boutique and cut it out from the above background. I used the Mat layer die from the same set and cut out a slightly larger circle on which I glued the topper using PVA glue. I didn't have an exact match to the painted background so used one sheet of Create & Craft's Core Collection linen effect paper to create the background (slightly smaller than the 6" square card) and stuck it to it using a PVA...

Congratulations! Champagne bottles and glasses 7x5in cream card Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one I have created using various dies, stamps and an old Daisy print paper from Craftwork Cards... How I made this card:- I first  of all cut out the Tattered Lace Champagne bottle and glasses die out in white card and coloured the bottle part in using a couple of green Alcohol markers, trying to give them a bit of shape by using darker colours toward the edges and underneath the neck. I coloured the foil parts of the bottles and the bucket using a beige colour alcohol marker and the champagne/prosecco in a yellowy colour... I then used one of the larger torn edge rectangle dies from Tattered Lace to cut out a piece of the green and white daisy patterned paper (I think it is from an old pad from Craftwork Cards) and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I curled the bottom left hand corner a bit and then attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" cr...

Congratulations... flowers on flowers using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.. A6 card Hi Craft addicts! I really love the effects the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons create and so thought I would make a card using just the yellow and orange pens in the collection. How I made this card:- I first of all used the Mustard Seed Crayon to add some "splodges" to a panel of Yupo (white) and then used my finger to blend them in (one at a time as the crayons dry quickly). I then added some Spiced Marmalade crayon on top of them and again blended them in. I also added some Twisted Citron in between the flowers and again blended them - I also used a paintbrush with some water to "smooth" the flowers and background out. I  cut the panel to about 4" x 3" as I wanted to put it on the front of an A6 white card. I placed a flower stencil (am not sure who made it) over it and, using a sponge dauber added some Black ink - I didn't know what effect it would create ...
