Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge has been made from scratch and here is how I did it..... I first of all took the 7x5in die (from Creative Expressions Noble Rectangle die collection designed by Sue Wilson) and cut two pieces of white card and attached them together by scoring about 3/4" from the top of one of them, adding some red liner tape and sticking them together. I then cut out two further pieces, the mat layer in Lynda Chapman's Black card and then one in white. I stuck the black mat layer on to the front of the card and then coloured the white piece using various Izink Dye based ink pads to create a magical looking background. I was playing with the latest Gnome collection that Crafter's Companion's Nature Collection - Gnome Home and Gnome child and created the larger of the toadstools using the dies and stencils and some of Izink ink (what was left on my brushes).   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun small card made using just stamps and inks! The stamp I used to make the card is the Secret Garden Rubber Stamp from Creative Expressions and is part of their Designer Boutique range.  I wanted to use it but didn't want to use it on a large card, so inked about 60% of it (the bottom part) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and rather that taking the stamp to the paper, I placed the paper on top of the stamp and pressed it to get the ink in place. Once I was happy with the result (and I must admit I did do it a couple of times), I added some Black Higgins ink to various places to make them stand out a bit more - such as the fairies. I then used some Hybrid inks (a mix of Ranger Distress Oxide and Tonic Nuvo) to colour in the background. Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is something different for me - I am trying to do various card shapes and this was one of the results! I first of all took a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card (they used to be sold by Create & Craft but am not sure they do them now) and rounded the corners using a Hunkydory punch. I then scored the top and bottom of the card using my Hunkydory scoreboard several times. I cut out the Smile frame from Stamps by Me using Lynda Chapman's Black card having first added some Wild Spider Self adhesive sheet to the reverse and placed it on a sheet of bright yellow Adorable Scorable card again from Hunkydory. I then cut out the Unicorn Geometric outline die from Thirsty Brush in the same card (again with sticky roll on the reverse) and placed it in the centre of the card which I used as a tent fold card instead so it is now similar to an easel card but isn't if you know what I mean? Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card Hi Craft addicts! Am back in the world of the internet after a few days and thought I would make this Fairy themed Birthday card and here is how I made it using some Hunkydory and Rare Earth products.... How I made this card:- The background is one I created using one sheet from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring Pad Vol.2 - I coloured it in using purples and yellow Tim Holtz Distress and Rare Earth inks - I placed some on a glass mat directly and used a paintbrush to blend the colours in. Whilst it was drying, I used some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to add a border to the right hand side of a cream/ivory 7x5in card (landscape/tentfold) - I had previously placed the topper on to the card to make sure it will fit. I removed the liner and added some black foil to it and burnished it until there was no glue exposed.  I then stamped the Fairy image (from Rare Earth's Fantasy Stamp range) on to some ...

Have a Magical Day Fairy and owl 6in easel card Hi Craft addicts! I wanted to try my hand at stamping and colouring the image in using Distress Inks/Dye based inks and am quite pleased with how this turned out! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat layer from Tattered Lace's Engaging Elements Circle Frame set in white cardstock and then the foliage frame in green. I put the latter to one side and using one of the Fairies from Rare Earth's Pixie Forest A4 stamp set, I stamped it out using Obsidian Gina K Amalgam ink and left it to dry for a bit. Using Tim Holtz's Bundled  Sage and Evergreen Bough Distress inks, I squished a bit onto a glass mat and then using a waterbrush coloured her dress in trying to blend them in so there was dark and light areas. Alice in Wonderland themed A6 Birthday card Hi Craft Addicts! As some of you may know if you read my blog regularly (and I hope you do!), I was offered the chance to use some of Hunkydory's fantastic products and write about them here.... So, today's card is one I have made from the  Once Upon a Twilight   Wonderland collection. It is really simple to make and I hope you will try it too! How I made this card:- I never quite know what to do with the A4 cardstock as sometimes I can't see how I can make a smaller card out of it, but one of the sheets included in the kit leant itself to cutting in half to make 2 A6 cards which I did - keeping the two bits of the design on opposite sides. I then took one of the smaller of the toppers (there are 4 larger and 4 smaller ones in the kit, including sentiments which is great value for just £2.99!)  I stuck it to some ivory/cream card using some PVA glue and trimmed it so there was a narrow border left around it. A Gift for you... unicorn and fairy in silhouette  7x5in black pearlescent card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness it is Friday already and the weekend is almost here... I have made this card using some toppers from the brilliant Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory... How I made this card:- I was really lucky to be given a set of the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit and so have made this one using the Unicorn and Princess silhouette oval. I first of all used a piece of white linen effect card and stamped the Rare Earth Sweet Traditions (stripes) pattern on to it twice - first of all using Pink Tulip from Crafter's Companions' Harmony ink set and then moved it slightly and stamped it again with Plum Jam from the same set.  As it is linen card, the lines aren't as defined as they would be with a smooth card but that was ok. Time to Sparkle... fairies Once Upon a Twilight tag and card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a Fairy themed 6" card which I have made using the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory. How I made this card- This is made using various stages - the first being creating the background for both the tag and main topper. The former was using Red, Blues and Purples Sparkle inks from Crafter's Companion - I just painted them in strips and let each dry before moving on. For the main topper background, I used Jaquard Alcohol inks on a felt dauber (the rectangle ones) and added a few drops of red, green, blue,pink etc to it and "spread" it over a piece of transparent Yupo paper. When it was dry and I was happy with it, I then used a Tattered Lace square (with a fancy edge) to cut a panel out - it measures approx 10cm/4".
