Happy Birthday - Fairies at sunrise...A6 card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun small card made using just stamps and inks!
- The stamp I used to make the card is the Secret Garden Rubber Stamp from Creative Expressions and is part of their Designer Boutique range.
- I wanted to use it but didn't want to use it on a large card, so inked about 60% of it (the bottom part) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and rather that taking the stamp to the paper, I placed the paper on top of the stamp and pressed it to get the ink in place.
- Once I was happy with the result (and I must admit I did do it a couple of times), I added some Black Higgins ink to various places to make them stand out a bit more - such as the fairies.
- I then used some Hybrid inks (a mix of Ranger Distress Oxide and Tonic Nuvo) to colour in the background.
- I then fussy cut around the image and attached it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card to frame it more and then fussy cut around that too.
- I used a tape pen to stick it to the front of an A6 Cream card and placed it towards the top as I wanted the sentiment at the bottom.
- I then used the Happy Birthday stamps from the Floral Smile stamp set from Honey Doo Crafts, and stamped them on to some of the Black card with a sticky ink (I used Versamark), covered it in white embossing powder and heat set it with a heat gun.
- I also fussy cut around that and attached it to the bottom of the card with narrow foam pads.
