Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this fun card inspired by a video I saw from Gina K Designs on You Tube... I took a piece of white card and added the squares to it directly using a variety of ink pads from Aladine's Izinks - not being too worried that some of them were quite juicy and added a bit more colour in the corner. I left it to dry and then placed it on to a stamping platform and taped it down. I placed the three different stamps (Congratulations stamp set from Stamps by Me) on to the design, picked them up and inked them with Gina K Obsidian Black ink and pressed down. I did this a couple of times as I wanted the silhouettes to really stand out. I cut the panel to about 3x5in and rounded the corners with a Hunkdory punch and then stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card, trimmed it and then rounded those corners too. Hiya Craft addicts! Today's card is one using just paper from Stamps by Me and a sentiment from Lisa Horton - so if you want to know how to make something like this then why not read more! I really love the colours in this paper pad from Toni Darroch's Its All about You - Vibrant Colours 8" pad. I wanted the poppies to stand out and so used one of the paler designs (with the script on it) and cut it to 4.75" x 5.5" (approximately) and attached it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card. I then cut a smaller piece of the Poppy design about 2.75" x 5"and stuck it to some more black card. I used PVA glue (or you can used fingerlift tape) to attach the larger panel to the front of a 7" x 5" white card and then added the smaller topper to it towards the bottom right hand corner, this time with thin foam tape to give it some height. Alice in Wonderland themed A6 Birthday card Hi Craft Addicts! As some of you may know if you read my blog regularly (and I hope you do!), I was offered the chance to use some of Hunkydory's fantastic products and write about them here.... So, today's card is one I have made from the  Once Upon a Twilight   Wonderland collection. It is really simple to make and I hope you will try it too! How I made this card:- I never quite know what to do with the A4 cardstock as sometimes I can't see how I can make a smaller card out of it, but one of the sheets included in the kit leant itself to cutting in half to make 2 A6 cards which I did - keeping the two bits of the design on opposite sides. I then took one of the smaller of the toppers (there are 4 larger and 4 smaller ones in the kit, including sentiments which is great value for just £2.99!)  I stuck it to some ivory/cream card using some PVA glue and trimmed it so there was a narrow border left around it. Inspiring... Harvest mouse gatefold on square card Hi Craft addicts! This is a slightly more adventurous card for me today insomuch it has various layers to it! How I made this card:- I cut out this really cute Harvest Mouse Tattered Lace die out in white card and rather than colouring it in, I thought it would stand out against some chocolate brown card that I had from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper range. I then cut out the main backing layer from the  Love Conquers All die range (again from Lynda Chapman's Paper Boutique collection) in Cream linen effect card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) and the mat layer in the brown linen effect card. I had thought of just having it flat, but decided to stick both together and make it a gatefold style topper!  I then glued the mouse in the middle of it using a PVA glue and then scored down each side of the main part of it (from the back so I could fold it inwards) - I realised after I had done it I should ...

Just  Because Chrysanthemums and Tulips Shaped card  Hi Craft addicts! I have had these shaped cards for ages and really had no idea what to do with them until I had this idea - using Thirsty Brush dies/stamps along with Hunkydory's Prism alcohol pens and a Just because sentiment... How I made this card:- I had some ink daubers with some ink left on them so decided to create this pastel background with what was left - I blended them in so they made new colours too! I decided to ink both the front part of the card along with the part of the inside that is showing. I then stamped out the large flower image (from the Chrysanthemum die and stamp set from Thirsty Brush on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Amalgam ink (so I can use both alcohol markers or watercolours) and coloured them in using Hunkydory's Prism Alcohol markers - I decided to make them bright and cheerful as I thought it would make it stand out more.  Once I was happy with the shading ...

Happy Birthday trio of cute elephants gatefold card -  Day 71 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I really love these cute elephant stamps from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and I am really getting into using paper to add some dimension to the picture I am trying to create... How I made this card:- I first of all stamped out the three different elephants from the Tons of Fun collection from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps range using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I coloured them all in using grey alcohol markers trying to give each a different shade with the large of them being slightly darker. I cut round them (the smaller ones right to the edge) and the large one leaving a small border round it. I then tore strips of green paper (this one is double sided from the Rainbow Radiance Stylish Silhouettes paper pad), giving them all an irregular edge and stuck the brown one on to the card approximately half way up, then the lighter one and finally the da...

Have a Fun Day flower on a bright background C6 black card -  Day 54 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a result of testing some alcohol markers on an embossed background - really like the effect it creates (even if the topper itself is upside down). How I made this card:- I took a panel (pre-cut) of stamping card and put it through my Cut n Boss using a hearts embossing folder from DoCrafts (XCut). I trimmed it a bit as I wanted it to fit the black card from Papercharm. I then used a variety of alcohol markers - rainbow colours using each several times - I wasn't worried to much if they blended - in fact I wanted them to! You have to let it dry from several hours otherwise it will smear and you can lose the effect you want... Whilst drying, I used a Tattered Lace Flower die and cut it out in white cardstock - I was going to use black but think the white stands out more.
